I thought I was going to really like this game. Turns out it is literally only 2 levels long and only has 2 different kinds of enemies. 3 if you account the two types of gnomes. I beat it 100% in 30 minutes.
I'm very undecided about whether this is a recommendable game or not. On the one hand: * the graphics are great, * the environments are lovely, * the controls work well, * it's fully voice-acted by the show's cast, * there are some fun uses of the VR POV, and * it's generally an enjoyable game to play. Unfortunately, it's let down by: * not being very challenging, * no real punishment for dying, * no particular reward for collecting all of the secrets, * only taking 30 minutes to complete (without rushing), and * coming to a very abrupt end. Seriously, you've only just learned the final control when you reach the game's "conclusion". I realise it's a $5/£4 game, but it really feels like a demo to a larger game. Even just a few more levels, taking it to an hour or two of gameplay, would have been enough. I picked a "yes" recommendation because I do think it's a good VR experience, but it's a little over-priced as it stands.

Only played a little bit because I don't want to rush through the game too quickly, but I'm in love. It's clever and quirky, the controls are tight and the graphics are endearing. From what I understand it's not a very long game, but if it continues to provide the quality of the first level throughout the rest, I can see myself playing through it again and demoing it to a bunch of friends. For what you're getting, $5 is a steal compared so some of the shallower and more costly VR launch titles.
Ignore the negative reviews. They all have this delusion that it's a $25 game for some reason. Yeah, it's short (~30 minutes to complete). But it's also only $5. Compared to most other VR games priced at $25+, I think this is priced fairly. If you like Adventure Time, you'll get your money's worth out of it.
Adventure Time Come on, grab your friends We'll go to very distant lands With Jake the Dog and Finn the Human The fun will never end, it's Adventure Time
This game is extremely short. I wish it was longer cause it's not a bad game. Its quite funny and good if you like Adventure Time. The achievements are quite easy and I was able to 100% after 2 playthroughs. Like I said very short wish there were more levels. The ending is lame too not even a boss fight.
Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
Holy …. This game is a masterpiece no wonder everyone said it’s great despite its so short like a tech demo It’s all incredibly delightful as Jake breaks the fourth wall and constantly attempts to defend or appease you with food or anecdotes. The VR feels justified, mostly because the developer Turbo Button, in a rare case for an Adventure Time game, actually tried to capture the essence of the show. What developer Turbo Button has essentially done here is come up with an excuse for the top-down camera angle, which is kind of genius, actually, and reminds me of the camera system from Super Mario 64. The duo is charming, as are the few cast members (like Lumpy Space Princess) players encounter on their journey. They nail the humor and charm of the series. It’s a shame, then, that the experience is so fleeting. While it may seem like a fully-fledged game, there’s only two levels in total, both of which can be completed in roughly 30 minutes. The story, while cute, also never really goes anywhere, and it ends abruptly, almost like they ran out of time on the project. It’s weird. There also isn’t much to do, as both stages only house several collectibles to find — other than that, it’s your job to get from point A to point B. I can’t stress enough that Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games doesn’t amount to much more than a tech demo that you can complete in one sitting. In that sense it’s a proof of concept for VR platforming, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a joy to play from start to finish. While Turbo Button could have really stood to flesh this project out, I’d love to see more, and if it ever happens, I’ll be right there on day one. Sadly, I do understand that the ratio of tripe to good games is high and it makes it hard to find the good stuff sometimes, especially older titles that were either poorly marketed or just didn't take off for whatever reason. I wish I had hope that this will change but I'm not too optimistic on that front. I figure most of the good PSVR2 stuff will be exclusives, and I'm not confident that the good PCVR titles that are available are selling enough to encourage studios to keep making them. Not when they can just cater to the lowest-common-denominator that is the Facebook Quest. Such is the state of things now I guess.
great game, you get what you pay for, you use a games controller to play the game, not vr controllers, 10/10 would recommend to any adventure time fan, its a fun little game. For anyone wanting playing this game to coincide with a rewatching of adventure time, it appears to take place at some point after S06E19, because finn has finn sword, and before S06E38, because magic man is magic, I haven't found anything else pointing towards any specific point in time for a timeline placement, at least not as far as I have found.
Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games is a very short platformer game. It will take you about 30-40 minutes to 100% this game. Still, its a fun little game from the early days of VR. The game has a nice Adventure Time feel to it and has easy controls. But it is short with no real replayabilty. Its a bit of a shame, the game could have been quite interesting if it just had more levels.
