Buy one game, get two, and both are peak What an incredible experience, really glad we decided to give this another try!
Great game. Scumbag developer. Avoid at all costs.
While this game has really cool environments and a LOT of really cool weapons, its all overshadowed by EXTREMELY bullet spongy enemies who melt you in 3-4 shots. Completely unfair bs. This game has so many cool things but the MAIN aspect of an FPS game, THE SHOOTING, is terrible and unbalanced. Play this only is you MUST get a Half-Life fix.
The kind of game you think there'd be more of after Half-Life 2. A lot of physics manipulation in combat, a good variety of weapons, and nicely reactive enemies. Has two main modes, one is a linear campaign, the other a more open-ended exploratory mission-based mode in open areas. There's a demo so consider giving it a shot.
Very fun and experimental kind of gameplay style. If you like half life. If you like action with freedom and flexibilty. If you like liminal events or anomalies. AND a lot of lore/story implications. This the game for you. Highly recommended. Just go in either completely blind or with a very open mind! Also recommend playing on Rebellion difficulty for the best experience (challanging but rewarding)
Half-Life is one of my favorite games so I had to play this. Pros: -It looks pretty good in the boomer shooter space -The OST was really good. Much better than most indie games. -Solid gunplay. Tons of variety with the weapons. -Great physics and gravity arm implementation. Cons: -Some of the later areas need optimization. Even with a 9800X3D/5090 and only playing at 1440p, I would drop into 60-70fps and even 50fps. -Growing up in the 90's, I'm no stranger to janky ladder climbing but WOW this one might take the cake. -A little too much feels outright stolen from Half-Life. The enemy soldiers look and move like the Combine and they even make the same "flatline" sound when you kill them. -The AI is really bad. They'll just stand there looking at you at times. -Very awkward level transitions at times. You'll just be walking along and teleport to a new area or press "E" on a door that doesn't look like you can interact with it. I'd recommend playing it if you're a fan of the genre. Solid B-tier game.
yes, as others already reported this game resembles half-life series a bit. in a good way - nice mix of shooting and puzzles.
yeet
It's an old school shooter that's just darn fun to play. I'm playing through it now for the 2nd time.
This game has the better gravity gun
