Across Stitch is part nonogram, part sudoku, part your grandmother knitting you a sweater that says "Jesus" on it, even though that's not your name, but you still have to wear it every time you visit, and tell her how much you like it despite it being so itchy that you just want to tear it off and burn it right in front of her, but you love her so you do the right thing but when she passes away you toss that thing right in the trash. Now that you need to make a new sweater, why not practice your pattern skills in Across Stitch? While you can go on forever doing the randomly generated puzzles, you can also make your own patterns, and share them with loved ones, who might just make it into a sweater for you... Yes, nestled comfortably in your new sweater, with a hot cup of cocoa, and Across Stitch running on your laptop that is atop your lap, you can while away the winter months in blissful solitude, solving puzzle after puzzle, until the miracle of Spring arrives, and you emerge, like a butterfly from a sweater cocoon, to soar to the heavens, where you will meet your grandmother, who will take you in her arms and gently ask "Why aren't you wearing the sweater I made you?" Well, why aren't you?

Woolen Otter is a scarf, and a Steam curator.
What a wonderful surprise! Thought I had seen every conceivable variation on the Picross puzzle. Well, this one brings an inventive new twist. And in later levels, three more twists. It's a truly original logic puzzle. The game is very well polished and fun to play! Graphics are top-notch! Music is perfect for stitching. The knitting theme works beautifully here. Full-screen and Window modes available. Change resolutions and enable v-sync. Layouts come in many sizes and difficulties. You can reset or skip a puzzle. A hint button if you need it. Get a perfect score if you make no mistakes. Right-click to mark an empty cell. Cross off the clues on the top and left side. And there's no timer. You can create and share your own designs. The developer is open to feedback, and the price is fantastic, and the levels NEVER end...

A cozy, pleasant cross between sudoku, picross, and a sprinkle of hexcells. Sadly the game focuses on procedurally-generated puzzles which (albeit rarely) can also have multiple solutions. As of February 2023 only one pack of 40 hand-crafted levels has been added. I sure hope to see more of it; three hours into it I've already done 100% achievements.
I normally don't like Sudoku sort of puzzles, but the visuals and game play of Across Stitch helped change my expectations. Before I knew it, I beat every puzzle and I had a lot of fun!
A well made puzzle game. A joy to play, weekly challenges. I haven't been able to get the import a puzzle feature to work but I don't think I'd care if there wasn't an achievement. The achievements are pretty sensible and it's not an overly difficult game. Easily worth $2.
A fun, simple game with a twist on nonogram/picross puzzles by adding color. I've enjoyed logicking my way through puzzles, challenging myself to go quickly at times and being more relaxed at others. Controls are elegant, especially the Minesweeper-like marking of spaces as empty. It's (mostly) a good sign when a game keeps pulling me in for "one more round"!
A quaint little puzzle game, good for an evening of entertainment. The visuals and sounds feel good and thematically cohesive. The game is inexpensive and doesn't try to do too much There are nice variations between the levels as the game progresses, keeping it feeling fresh The ability to import a picture is a nice touch
This game is a fresh take on picross games! I have always loved playing picross games on my phone but none of them were really interesting enough to keep my attention on Steam. This game however takes a new approach using different colors instead of numbers of blocks attached to one another. Every level is completely random and solveable so you can keep playing for as long as you like at any difficulty you feel comfortable at. For the price, its worth taking a shot!
Ah yes, my two loves: cross stitching and puzzles, 10/10
I'm so so happy my discovery queue recommended me this! This game is so relaxing and fun; it's challenging but not too difficult, which I love. I don't usually play these sort of puzzles but this was fantastic and I'll for sure be replaying and keeping an eye on future updates and additions! :)
