About

Take control of the eight-legged, amoral abomination guarding the Acid Web and nullify a concerted effort by thousands of hostile infidels to dispel its powerful curse.
Acid Web savours the essence of the brutal aesthetics and straight forward gameplay mechanics of the earliest classics of the twin stick shooter genre, but only knows them by diffuse, distant memory.
This game will seriously challenge your reflexes and spatial awareness. Don't wait! The Acid Web demands your sacrifice!
Blast through a hundred hand-crafted, yet slightly randomized waves using a variety of devastating weaponry
Manage risk and reward as you decide whether to dive in to power up your destructive FACE BEAM or to stay out of harm's way
Carve your name or favorite obscenity into the top of the local high-score list
Destroy thousands of seagulls, the worst birds of them all
Build a wardrobe of collectible baubles, hats and wigs to turn your deadly campaign against everything else into a fashion statement
Enjoy the infinite, continuous mix of procedurally generated streaming-friendly techno and electro music that reacts to your movement. I have no claim to the music: your computer composes and produces it on the fly as you play
Launch yourself into the action within seconds thanks to instant load times and near total lack of pomp and ceremony
Satisfy your curiosity and tinker to your heart's content with the in-game sound effect and music template editors (no workshop support)
Linux support is not an afterthought; we love Linux more than an ominous spider-skull ever could

Video: https://youtu.be/jeqfjqrLBjI Acid Web ought to be more popular than it is. It's a rather fantastic twin-stick shooter with the vibes of Geometry Wars and Centipede jammed into one awesome sauce shooter. Wave based, fast paced, and absolutely awesome.
Acid Web is a twin stick shooter with varied, challenging levels with lots of different weapons. It has a moderate level of difficulty without being too easy. The music is an absolute banger if you like electronic dance music. The game generates different acid songs every round which makes the game feel unique. Spin that web!
Mad as a fish! I love it! Twin-stick madness, well balanced, and loads of varied game play. Oh, and a weird skull with spider legs. What more do you want from a video game?!!!
Super nice bullet hell, for people who can focus hard. Looking forward to trying to get those achievements!
There is a lot to like here! Each enemy type has its own gimmick, which adds a lot of variety to the enemy formations. I also like how each level has its own thematic set of enemy formations, and it's cool that your weapon changes based on the level. So sometimes you might get thrown against an overwhelming number of enemies but receive a devastating weapon to even the odds. The style of this game (vector-like graphics, surreal humor, techno music) seems heavily inspired by Jeff Minter. That's a good thing!
Awesome game if youre into oldschool dual stick shooters from the early 80's like Robotron 2084. Not only is the game very fast and responsive, the generated acid music is great! Had this game for a week now and have been playing it every day. The excellent dual stick action and the acid music has me coming back to this game again and again. Addictive!
What a game! A fun bullet hell with generative music and sound effects. Easy to pick up and just start playing. No fuzz, just a good game! The music is just fantastic! A new acid banger is generated for you every new wave. It will keep your head nodding during the difficult fights. I find myself not wanting the music to change for the next wave all the time and most often I am pleasantly surprised by the new track. Have you ever seen another game with music BPM as an adjustable option under audio settings? And the ability to edit the sound effects from within the dev options in the meny? The waves of enemies are increasingly difficult and very well made. Every tenth wave of so feels like getting a present from the game dev. No spoilers but they are very powerful! :) The selection of enemies is very broad. Everything between mines, seagulls and chess towers.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eyeballs/10
One of my favorite shoot em ups in recent years, this one is simple on paper but still nearly overwhelming (in a good way) to play. The colors pop, the enemies look great when they explode, the spider hats slap hard, the weapon types are slick too. This one should be played by anyone with a controller and greedy eyeballs.
