I wish there was a "meh" button. I bought this for under $5 and it was an okay way to spend an afternoon, but it's not something I'll be raving about or replaying
Sheesh! This is a mediocre game developed by Artifex Mundi. If I could wayback to 2012, it gave me an out-imagined surprise. However, in my current insight to judge this game, I'll say that's not play AM game, in opposite, that like to play a sort of shoddy games made by unfamous studios from Alawar Games (Even though almost of studios from AG are pretty good and classic-created). Let me point out where are inadequations. Firstly, this game has too much backtracks onplay. I activate in shaft entrance, but u tell me that I NEED TO BACKTRACK TO UPPER SQUARE AND TO WALK FORWARD AND DOING A LOT OF WORKS FOR GAINING AN INGREDIENT AND BACKTRACK TO THE LIBRARY? Plus, that map only work in plain floor where u locates, and for curving reality and immersion, each advance and backtrack make an animation for zooming in, which makes it to be irritable. Secondly, details lacked sometimes make me to play less immersively. Even though devs have made much of details jn this game, but some details are lacked. eg. when you are in elevator and locates in floor where Albion Hotel placed, that's only a still sequence ingame, however, you never put the bridge down and that image shows that the whole Aibion Hotel in eyesight. a lot of details are missing with easily perceiving. Thirdly, the script is less complement. First question I'll ask: when is Logan's daughter cured? Seen that logate transformation suppressed from the girl in start of the photo studio, but she never perform the transformation afterward. Plus, in the end-closed phase, you'll see that a lots of logates are onscreen, but when you finishes the rite of occult shrine, Logates are only three supporting characters, so what happened with others? In additional, adaptation for higher version of system not finishes thoroughly. The bonus Hidden Object scene locks FPS to 10. and what's more, platinum in this game that means you needs to finish it at least 2 times because of the damned domino minigame. However, There are positive aspects to say. visual, sound and gameplay is good, but I don't think that is deserved to be finish twice, and re-taste the monotonous storyline. 3.5/10.
Not the best but worth playing. One complaint: the annoying whale sounds made me turn off the sound and only have the music play which took away from the experience. 6.5/10
