Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden

I wish there was a "meh" option, rather than thumbs up/down for this game. It has all the colorful sites and creative puzzles/hidden object games as others by Artifex Mundi but this one has a couple negatives: 1) you have to traverse through the halls, rooms and floors one step at a time rather than transporting, which adds a lot of busy work and time wasting and 2)the hint menu constantly idles rather than recharging, so you are on your own when you get stuck. I like this genre of game but this particular one ranks lower on the totem pole.

Negative: ⏳ Completing all achievements involves multiple playthroughs and specific conditions (expert mode, hidden object and puzzle mastery), which makes full completion quite long and demanding. 🧩 Some achievements are missable, requiring careful planning or specific routes through the game to unlock. ⚙️ Interaction depth stays basic — it remains mostly hidden‑object and mini‑game focused rather than a deep action or story RPG. 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: The game includes 20 Steam achievements to unlock. ⏱️ Players moving relatively quickly through the main game and bonus chapters can expect to unlock everything in ≈1 hour 15 minutes, while players who take their time exploring, experimenting with puzzles and completing every portion may take around ≈8 hours to fully complete all achievements. Overall: Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden is a richly themed hidden‑object adventure with a variety of puzzles and multiple achievement goals. It rewards patience and exploration, making it appealing to hidden‑object and puzzle fans who enjoy thorough completion challenges.

This is the greatest, most nostalgic, hidden object game I have ever played or will ever play, the story, beautiful, the puzzles, pretty good, the voice acting, could be a lot better but the budget probably wasn't the greatest, some of the hitboxes for clicking on things were finicky, and the ending was lame. But otherwise 10/10 would play again.

Fun point-and-click game with an interesting horror storyline. Not super time-intensive, it took me about 7 hours to finish with pausing and breaks throughout - could probably have done it in half the time if I focused. I would recommend writing down any puzzles you haven't completed before leaving a room, as the world map does expand quite a bit. I kept forgetting where certain puzzles were after I gathered all the items needed to solve them. You have to travel back and forth a lot, and occasionally run into new hidden-object games as you do. Something to note for achievement hunters, you will need to play through twice to 100% the game. In the 1st playthrough, do not skip any puzzles or cut scenes, and DO NOT use even a single hint during the hidden-object games. Your 2nd playthrough will be a speedrun to get the "dominos" achievements - instead of playing the hidden-object games, click on the domino tiles at the bottom left to play those.

Я ничего не ожидал от неё, так как она выпущена тем же издателем, что и другая игра 9 загадок. Это игра жанра поиск предметов, но я за всю игру не нашёл ни одного предмета. Тут имеется просто шикарная система домино. Я сначала скептически к этому отнёсся, но попробовав пользовался только домино. Минус можно поставить постоянной беготне от одного места в другое. Во всём другом это тот же поиск предметов. Тут отличная анимация, для игры в картинках. Удивительно, что игра 2012 года даёт в рот игре 2015. Она по всем параметрам лучше. Может ещё пару таких игр и я реально стану скуфом. Если вам нравится подобный жанр игр, то эта игра определённо вам понравиться. Я это говорю, потому что я удивлён, но она мне понравилась. Может потому что мне есть с чем сравнить? Эта игра определённо попадает в категорию хороших игр и заслуживает рекомендацию.
