I am so torn over how to rate this game. Because it's only $2, I'm going to give it a thumbs up. But just barely. On the one hand, this is really a great little fairy tale VR game. I loved it. It's truly magical. On the other hand, nothing on the Steam pages prepares you for the fact that you just paid for "part 1" and that the ending is... bad... confusing... a cliffhanger? I'm not even sure. I don't even understand how it connects to the rest of the game entirely. Also, there is a nasty bug that resets your score to a lower number even if you got everything. I was at 94% before the conclusion, then (afraid I missed something) went back and made sure I got all the paintings. Doing this dropped my score to 79%. Turns out the ending itself is the last 6%. So I had completed everything but failed to score it. I also found it annoying that , when replaying, you can't skip past the vocals. It's probably worth $2 however to see such an interesting take on how to use VR to produce a magical tale. But I hope the creators make the ending more meaningful and fix the problems I mentioned.
Very well made. Love the atmosphere they created.
This game truly captured my heart. If you like to explore and take your time to gaze at the wonders in the VR space this is for you. All the little things come together to really immerse yourself in the world. I love exploration/puzzle games but am terrible at them. I struggled on some of the things but when I finally fgured them out I felt elated like nothing else. Just to be clear, this game is a take your time and explore and appreciate the wonders of the art and story. It's very well done. I am really looking forward to more from this studio.
As far as I can tell, this was the first game from the creators of "Bramble" - a spectacular fairy tale-inspired horror game. So, when I learned that they made another game with vaguely similar themes, I was really excited and immediately purchased it. And yet, I still haven't played it properly to this day... because I can't. Initially I had severe technical issues on my previous rig - low framerates, poor graphics quality, overall, the game was an unoptimized mess. "No problem," I said, "these are indie devs, I'll just wait until I have a better rig". So I did buy a significantly better PC, and now the graphics are great, but I faced another problem: the controls. The game frequently put objects behind me or to the side, making it impossible to play seated. Even when I stand up, many objects were out of reach, to the point where I literally went out of bounds trying to reach them. It was impossible to even start the game properly! I don't know if the issue is entirely with me, but so far I haven't faced any issues playing other VR games. It's exclusively this one that I can't even start. So no, I have to assume that (perhaps due to short development time or not enough testing with different headset configurations) the game simply doesn't work properly on certain setups. Bummer.
What's here is very pretty and interesting. Unfortunately, something strange happened about an hour into my first playthrough. I had been having a great time following the story and admiring the beautiful designs. Suddenly the narrative took an intense turn and the plot really seemed to pick up. I was so excited to see what was about to happen when suddenly a new character appeared, said a few words, and everything went dark before the credits rolled. I was so confused as to what glitch had occurred that caused the game to crash right when it was getting good. But sadly, after scouring the internet for other people's playthroughs I realized that it didn't crash. That really was the "ending" of this game. It was only after digging a little deeper that I realized that this is NOT a complete game. It is only the first game in a trilogy that never got made. I got this game on sale for a dollar, and in its current state I think that's what it's worth. If the other two games in the series had been made then I'm sure it would've been worth more. But sadly, this game by itself is nothing more than a lot of build up and world establishment for a really interesting story that the player will never get to see.
It was a nice game and i really enjoyed playing it even though i was not a fan of the ending or dropping your whole inventory when changin places. Some should be aware thet the lightning in the game could cause headache. Haven't seen someone mentioning getting one ,but i most certainly experienced it after walking around in the darkness with just one small lightning source.
An enchanting little game. As much as relaxing VR experience wandering through the eyes of a child as it is a fun puzzle game. The devs really captured a heart that's missing from so many narrative driven games.
i enjoyed this game Glad it is part of a trilogy, good story line, movement a little rough. too dark at times glad the stepping stone segment was not often repeated
