A pretty fun isometric puzzle game, mostly a sokoban really. Has a few problems: strange controls, [strike]no undo button[/strike] (there is one now, very nice!), no hints or ability to skip a level, a sliding puzzle level (my archenemy), some bugs (all were fixed by resetting the level) and broken achievements (I got one for solving all puzzles but never the one for solving 50 puzzles). Also, I don't understand what running around and pushing boxes and buttons has to do with the plot. But well, it's mainly a puzzle game, not something you'd play for the story anyway.
Objectively:
7.6/10
This is a really nice looking, polished and fun puzzle game that doesn't seem to be getting as much attention as it deserves. Only an hour in but would recommend, the game definitely doesn't fail to challenge. Some puzzles make you feel like you're stuck, then you take a step back and try to think different, and it works. Pretty fun.
A very clever puzzle game. Lots of the mechanics take on a Sokoban-style focus, with the addition of things like lasers, pistons to push blocks, transport platforms, and more. Other aspects include mini-puzzles that can include tile puzzles, small mazes, and a few other relatively simple puzzles as well. Overall the mechanics mesh quite well, and include interesting ideas such as 'quantum blocks' which, put simply, are groups of multiple blocks that move as a group when any of them are pushed. The story is intriguing, but relatively simple- though there are some uncomfortable images in one of the paths. You can't exactly avoid it either- to beat the game, you need to go down said path, including the one with said uncomfortable images. (I can't say what I mean by 'uncomfortable' due to spoilers, sadly... just, if you get disturbed easily, then move through the far left path's story fast and don't look at the images...) Aside from said path, though, it's a pretty good story, all things considered. It's certainly quite short, and has a few bugs as well (excluding the one you play as). Sometimes when playing, when you undo or reset a level, certain things break- such as you or the pistons phasing through blocks instead of pushing them. It's not a major issue- worst case, all you need to do is reset the level, and while it can be annoying to reset when you're partway through a level, said levels always have a clear way to get from start to finish once you figure it out. So even starting over, you should still be able to find your way through again. I would very much enjoy more levels, whether as an addition to the main levels or via a level editor where people can make levels of their own and share them with others. After all, there's not too much here- I wouldn't say it's worth the full $12 as is currently, but it's still a good game worth picking up if it's on sale. If more gets added, then it may become worth $12 by then. If you enjoy puzzles though, then it may be worth $12 to you. I wouldn't be able to say for certain after all- to each their own. Overall, it's a fun game, even if short, and worth taking a look at. Definitely make sure you're okay with it being a bit short, and be aware of the somewhat uncomfortable images in the one path (I wasn't expecting it and was caught off guard).
