Very good game. I would recommend
Hew are the pros & cons of this AVN as I see it. Pros: 1. For a linear AVN this is not a bad short story. Cons: 1. It would be nice to change the names and relationship of the characters (you can rename the main characters name though). 2. I wish the females were not so fat. I also recommend the following AVNs on Steam: Acting Lesson, City of Broken Dreamers, Depraved Awakenings, Leap of Faith, Monster College, Sisterly Lust, & Tales from the Unending Void.
The story takes its time to create a relationship between characters and the sex isn't over the top.
Short but solid. Easily worth asking price. Writing was great.
ENG: A Soldier's Struggle, a short kinetic novel and the fourth work from Moonbox Games, follows Vincenzo (name of player's choice) as he returns home after years of combat in a war zone. However, military discharge and returning to civilian life aren't easy for our hero, not only because of the scars left by his harsh experience in the field, but also because the neighborhood where his landlady Mia and her tenant Sarah live is rundown to say the least, and the shortcomings of David, an absent and unreliable landlord, force Mia to work two jobs and immediately convince Vincenzo to get one too so he can also help the two women. At least the welcome back is warm, as, despite their limited means, both Mia and Sarah, similar to their physical appearance, are both filled with affection for the protagonist, an affection that, given the circumstances, does not take too long to turn into love. Although the two main love interests are similar, the models, which, with the exception of Sarah and Mia, generally lean toward mature women, are well done, the actual animations, however, are absent and replaced by well-crafted static sequences. The overall workmanship is also well done, while the sounds and soundtrack are unfortunately completely missing, as is the Steam Cloud save functionality. Also noteworthy is the implementation of an atypical and customized main menu that makes use of exquisite transitions and a unique and charming single-line save and load menu, although probably a little less functional given the limited number of them per page, anyway, this is a relatively insignificant issue here given the title's limited length, but one that is definitely worth noting in case you want to use it for other, more substantial works. Being a kinetic novel, it is worth noting that the player will not be presented with any choices other than the choice of name.
Personal note: as for best girl, this time it's the decidedly affectionate and enterprising Mia who wins, although by very little, in fact, what drives her is her being the fulcrum of the story given that, despite a very promising start, Sarah is unfortunately significantly penalized by a reduced presence throughout the entire story in favor of the landlady. As honorable mentions I would mention Misses Papadopoulos, who certainly does not fail to get noticed, and Melania who definitely stands out above the rest.
I have been playing for an hour and a half so far and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have been laughing so much at the situations, conversations, and internal monologs of the characters. Very well written and entertaining,
Likes : All of it, usual large extremities but nicely done and sexy, sex scenes start slow and get more frequent as the story unfolds and the three main characters pull you in and I felt invested in their lives, does not happen often! Some darker scenarios dealt with but mainly this is fairly light hearted.
You play as Vincenzo (MC default,) a young man who fled an abusive father as soon as you were able. Five years ago, you'd enlisted and for a couple of years your solution had worked well. About three years ago your unit deployed and you were captured. Now you are returning home, anxious about your reception, it's been awhile after all. My imagination doesn't have any trouble going down this path. My major beef with this effort is that both your mother and your sister appear to be the same 'game asset.' This short, kinetic visual novel is matched with a modest price. I'll be keeping an eye on Moonbox Games.
This is a short AVN (the dev is upfront about that) - about 4=5 hours of playtime. If you are familiar with this devs other AVN, Grandma's House (not avail. on Steam - at least not yet) and are a fan, you'll like this one. There's a lot of love, and cuddles and humor and lewd content. The women are attractive, and the story overall is very sweet (trademark elements for this dev). I recommend it, especially at the price.
Moonbox has again proved why he is one of the best AVN creators. He takes a situation and immediately gets you to have great empathy for the three main characters. You can feel the emotional interactions between them. The conflicts the characters have dealing with new found feelings for each other and their eventual resolution leave you with a sense of satisfaction. The rendering is excellent as are all Moonbox's creations. I look forward to more of Moonbox's projects in the future. I highly recommend this AVN to everyone.
