A Snake's Tale

This is a simple but charming game about helping snakes out of tight spots. I've always loved snakes, and am happy to see them star in more games. The movement mechanics are quite satisfying: I played with a mouse and it was simplicity itself to move each snake around by clicking and dragging on its head. The mechanics never got in the way of a sudden realization about how to solve a puzzle (the addition of an 'undo' button is also very much appreciated). It adds some innovative mechanics, too: there are eggs which, when eaten, expand a snake by one tile (expected), but there are also [i]anti[/i]-eggs which [i]decrease[/i] a snake by one tile, which make for some entertaining puzzles. (I laughed out loud the first time I saw a two-segment snake eat one and poof out of existence!) Other levels introduce buttons which must be held down to open the exit burrow, water which only some snakes can traverse, and bizarre two-headed snakes which can advance in either direction, all of which shake up the gameplay in different ways. According to Steam it took me 1.7 hours to complete so it's not a long game, but it's well-worth its low asking price, and doesn't outstay its welcome. I also got it partly because I heard it was written in Rust and wanted to see how it played, and it's been…well, fine. No problems or bugs that I encountered. It also ran fine on my Debian machine.
