Despite the unusual characters, this is still a typical romance visual novel. You play a girl trainer who’s just taken a new job in the gym. Although your major clientele turn out to be squirrels, this is simply a design choice that separates the game from other romance titles. When you initially meet each character, you see both their human portrait and their squirrel image. They have some commonalities, but it's basically just basic squirrel types in different colors. The story is short, but it encourages you to replay it eight times for each character. However, this does not make them particularly remarkable. Most of the stories follow the same routes and situations. Different text may appear from time to time, but it is normally limited to a few sentences. The main reason to go down each path is to unlock bonus squirrel images in the album. Unfortunately, images aren't that exciting because they're too similar. The price is a little high, so if you decide to try it, wait for a significant discount. The story isn't extremely original, and the visuals are not that great. Although the squirrels are good, the backgrounds are of bad quality and appear to have been resized from a much smaller image.

I came for Bobby, and left with disappointment, a squirrel husband that I didn't want, and got squegnant. But overall, if you just want a quick game to play for the memes and funnies, get the game. Though, I would wait until it's on sale for a few cents. The quality isn't Hatoful Boyfriend level but still fun game to joke around with.

The best and most fun I've had in a long time, 70% of the reason for that was because a friend and I used funny voices for each character. But the story is absolutely crazy and fun. It does use AI art so if you're salty and are against that, well, don't play I guess but it's a blast!
