A Lozenge

A Lozenge is a short interactive story about what was and what remains. It follows a mother and daughter as they grapple with a new normal. The hurt from the past is an iceberg and there is no inclination of what the future will be like for the duo. The now is what’s in focus as they barrel through the night toward a future that at very least holds pancakes.

A short, intriguing game that definitely had me channel my emotions of what I went through in regards to divorce as a kid & as an adult. You can see the range of mixed emotions thoroughly in the character's facial expressions which paints a whole new level of story telling. ❀

Коротка, даже слишком. Из истории точно не ясно что и почему в семье пошло не так. Из того минимума информации можно понять что пара распалась потому что женщина "ничего не чувствует", когда муж хороший (+ ей что хоть это понимает). Очень важный ориентир в долгосрочных и серьезных отношениях - эмоции, чувства. Ведь если любишь, бабочки будут порхать всегда! Нет прежних эмоций? Значит не нужен такой муж. И судя по тому что у жены есть уже другой вариант, новая семья, дом для ребенка - а мамаша то хороша! Берет от жизни все. Ориентиры расставлены правильно. А ребенок - это просто ребенок. Но одну вещь Мишель отлично (спасибо маме) понимает - есть универсальный способ от всех бед. Нужно скушать что-то сладкое.

Прикольно) очень красивая графика и приятный, релаксовый фон... жаль, что она очень короткая, было бы интересно провести с Мишель и Люси всю поездку.

This is a beautiful 10minute immersive game that has both serenity and emotions. The player takes on a role of Michelle's mum where he has to make a choice on what to answer to puzzled Michelle. I noticed that with some questions, I really had to think about my answer as I wanted to be a good supportive mum who puts her child's interests first although she is aching from the situation (divorce) herself. The sound effects make the game more touching and mesmerising at the same time. As a kid I used to get very carsick as well, so the game felt very personal to me from the beginning. At one point in the game the mum tells Michelle to "look straight ahead and focus on one point while thinking about positive things" and this phrase took me back straight to my childhood. My parents would tell me the exact same thing. However, similar to Michelle, it did not work too well most of the times. So I relived those moments with Michelle and knew exactly what kind of emotion (for both the mum and the daughter) the authors of the game wanted the viewer to experience. It worked for sure! In conclusion, this game is a very impressive piece of art. It is hard to make one feel emotional in only just 10 minutes but Party for Introverts really did an immaculate job. Thank you guys
