About

A la Card is a food truck deckbuilding roguelike where you'll mix and match the best aspects of every card you find to create absurd synergies and make new discoveries every time you play!

Stick the effect of one food onto another. Change what triggers that effect in the first place. Swap stats, inherit flavours, and cook up clever combinations no one else will.

Every run is an ebb and flow of cramming as many calories as possible into the window before hittin' the road to slap together the most powerful cards you can conceive of. These people want food? Oh you'll give them food.

But it won't be enough to just make a really big burger. Zany bosses bring self-contained puzzles to navigate, testing your deck's flexibility. They'll slip you a card and refuse to leave until you serve it to them or clog the window with half-eaten scrap. You'd better be able to improvise.
Served with a garnish of tasty tunes made to order by Josh Whelchel.

Features:
Sequence your cards to make the most of their effects. Skilled players are rewarded for clever plays.
Combine the calories of your ingredients using powerful recipes, creating space to serve even more food!
Random special events provide opportunities to change each and every detail of your cards: the colours, calories, effects, how you trigger those effects, and more!
Each starting deck has a unique and powerful trinket that deeply impacts how it plays, and you'll find more trinkets to mix and match throughout your runs.
Presiding over each location is a memorable boss with a unique ability. When big numbers aren't enough, you'll have to get creative!
Win runs to unlock more starting decks, trinkets, and release even more cards into the pool for future runs.
Revisit your favourite decks to take on special challenges and earn coveted stars!
With hundreds of cards and dozens upon dozens of mid-game events and upgrades, no two runs are ever the same.

Reviews
Even though this game is difficult, I give it a thumbs up because of the fact that you can serve a lemon to go with some sushi or maybe an artichoke to go with some ice cream
Fun, addictive, and wacky. Ever wanted to feed an annoying customer a gingerbread house filled with bones? Now you can! Great deckbuilder - a unique culinary experience with every byte!
Extremely cool game I'm surprised isn't getting more attention. Very stylish and has a very refined mechanical core. Very much focused on the interactions between effects but also allows you to alter when those effects occur in a lot of ways, this is the method by which you might transform an OK effect into the core of your strategy. Because of the RNG involved in getting new ingredients, it can sometimes feel like the build isn't coming together but I think that's just the Deckbuilder Experience sometimes 😀 Edit; and they added the much requested mid run save feature in the latest patch

Fun deck builder game with lots of wacky combos. Great game if you like trying to break deckbuilding games Love that the music is really catchy. Initially the game did not have mid run save but Devs implemented it quickly after player feedback .
deckbuilder de food truck era o tudo o que eu precisava na minha vida
With the ability to save mid-run, you can now take time to recover from the absolute absurdity of card modification chains that this game lets you create. If you've ever wondered "what if slay the spire, but I could make *every card* absolutely absurd", this is the game for you.
A la card is loads of fun to just kill time. Runs are short and sweet and the ability to mix and match card's abilities, triggers, types and colours allows for incredibly powerful combos that are really fun to pull off. The music and art is really fun too! some areas feel more frequent than others but the wacky cast of customers are always fun to see. My only issue with the game is a few decks feel underpowered or lack synergy. Smoothie deck especially since the deck seems to lean towards creating cards but all the starting cards make *different* things. (you don't even start with a liquid to make the signature smoothie recipe) Ice cream deck too, I don't see the point in making more cards sweet with chocolate bar when chocolate bar is sweet itself. Apart from those few outliers, all the decks are fun to play with. especially the Christmas deck, which is sadly no longer available. I look forward to more limited-time decks! This was my most anticipated game of 2025 since the demo, and I can't wait to play even more throughout 2026
So this is esentially a programming game in a trenchcoat. It's really, really satisfying xD. It is a lot more about breaking the system and using transformations to get a broken combo going that it is about getting consistent growth, but that's addicting in it's own way. Heavily reccomended, go get it!
Any of you deck builder freaks that have stumbled on this game, do not skip it. This is THE GOOD STUFF. The deck building and the card modification systems are very deep and well thought. The game is properly challenging and has a satisfying learning curve on how to build your deck, modifing your cards and actually piloting the deck
Absolutely amazing little roguelike deck builder, nails the theme so well, and it's really fun to figure out the combo's of the cards you currently have to work with. Constantly playing the same deck can feel a little repetitive for the first few opening hands because you always have the same cards, but each deck quickly changes and evolves, and they also keep bringing out new content to expand the game further.
