About
Trenchcoat Adventurer is a dungeon-crawling roleplaying game with a whimsical heart and a beautiful, hand-drawn CrayonVision aesthetic.
Three Kobolds find themselves drawn to the allure of Adventuring after overhearing how successful adventurers get to eat the best food and have the shiniest shiny things. Cunningly disguised in a trenchcoat, this towered trio find their way though an ever-deepening dungeon in the hunt for shinies and tasties!
Unbeknownst to them, the "beginner dungeon" that they wandered into breaks through into a much deeper, darker place full of real peril... with the training wheels off and the worst equipment they could find, can our Trenchcoated heroes go from wannabes to true heroic adventurers?
Explore a hand-crafted Dungeoneering experience through the eyes of Kobolds and rendered in beautiful CrayonVision!
Utilise the equipment you want... and eat the equipment you don't! With cast-iron stomachs, Kobolds can eat anything to keep their strength up
Classic Dungeon Crawling with grid-based movement, turn-based combat and RPG elements! Level up your Kobolds to turn them from zero to hero!
A Hand-Authored Dungeon experience through Six Chapters, with randomised loot to keep things fresh and interesting!
Over 300 different items to collect! From Equipment to Keys to Potions and Trinkets, all can found throughout the dungeon or bought from enterprising Goblin Merchants!
Everything hand-made! No AI generated ANYTHING!

The game is simple, creative, and it is honestly pretty fun. I played it for the first few floors and had fun and entertained by the artwork and the feeling of being a mischievous group of kobolds.
This is probably one of the most fun games I have played in so long! It was bound to happen sooner or later to make a game involving the silly kobolds and their trenchcoat, looking for treasure. The challenge even on the default setting is fun, and as this is a game genre I don't normally touch: I would certainly like to see more with these three as the game progresses! With a friendly community and updates assured, this is one game I imagine everyone can enjoy. I loved the music and the fun little system of keeping the kobolds fed, no matter what you find. I know at least a handful of people in the furry scene who'll love this game, and then some. XD
the first time I booted up the game I accidentally ate a boot 10/10 game There's a lot of charm to the aesthetic and writing. The storybook plot is remarkably sweet. The gameplay's relatively simple but sets you up for creative resource management that creates a lot of tension.
Kobold!!!
This game soaks up your time in a delightfully unexpected way, the difficulty settings lets you tailor your experience as you wish and the artwork is cute as heck!
Great, cute, casual, grid based dungeon crawl. The RNG can get a little tough (items drops are random, but the dungeon is fixed). But once you get used to the hunger mechanic and figure out what spells you're going to keep, and which you're going to eat, it's a fun time.
This game unlocks a part of my brain full of joy and whimsy I had forgotten existed! I am willing to bribe the developers to tell me where the secret treasures are...
Awesome
Adorably drawn, tactical gameplay, full of fun kobold vibes! Lots of hidden secrets that I want to uncover. The kind of game that you say find yourself repeating "just one more level". Super fun!
I've been looking for an old-school tile based dungeon crawler for a while and this is so charming. Actually really good game mechanics that make me think about my decisions. Well made!
