A Highland Song

While mechanically rough around the edges, this is a magical experience that everyone should give themselves the opportunity to get swept up in. A Highland Song did a fantastic job of selling its atmosphere, from the euphoric runs across the valleys to the challenging and stressful climbs through rain and snow to just reach that next peak. This game is absolutely full of heart and soul, and it's worth your time and money.

Absolutely incredible. The platforming is simple but very satisfying. This game utterly captivated me and swept me away into the mountains that it so beautifully depicts. Not very mechanically complex, but it doesn't need to be. It does everything it's trying to do perfectly in my eyes.

Une vraie petite pépite. J’ai adoré A Highland Song. Le jeu dégage une atmosphère incroyable, entre poésie, aventure et contemplation. L’exploration des Highlands est superbe, avec cette sensation de liberté, de mystère et de voyage personnel qui donne envie d’avancer toujours un peu plus loin. La direction artistique est magnifique, la bande-son accompagne parfaitement l’expérience, et le rythme du jeu invite vraiment à prendre son temps. Ce n’est pas juste un jeu de plateforme ou d’exploration, c’est une balade, presque une parenthèse hors du temps. Comme quoi, parfois, grimper des collines virtuelles est plus apaisant que de gérer la vraie vie, cette activité manifestement mal équilibrée. Une très belle découverte, pleine de charme et d’émotion. Je recommande vivement à ceux qui aiment les jeux originaux, sensibles et immersifs.

I stumbled upon this game and couldn't put it down until I reached the lighthouse on my first playthrough. I absolutely love that you can continue your journey with the same maps afterwards. The music is stunning and I will be playing this over and over to find new things.

This game is very well made and I really enjoy the music/story. I highly recommend.

Good game. Great story and fun fun to try all the things

I thought this game was a relaxing easy platformer. I found is tough as nails, there is an accessibility mode. By the fifth day I barely had any health left because of resting in caves and such. Apparently I was supposed to rest in buildings but there are so few of those I'd basically have to lose an entire day to be able to rest here. I found the story engaging enough. Except I had no idea where I was even supposed to go. Right, I guess?

This game is wonderful. It's visually beautiful, the music is lovely, and the story and mythology is both warm-hearted and intriguing. I also really appreciate the gameplay - both the interactive music elements, and the encouragement to play the game multiple times and get better at it each time. It's so low pressure, which just let's you focus on enjoying yourself.
