A Glider's journey is a short, minimalist, yet very challenging flight game. The goal is simple: Glide to the next landing zone and regain forward momentum along the way by collecting boosts.

A Glider's Journey has some major issues, especially if you play on "Normal" (the default difficulty) with an Xbox controller. For example, in the first level the second required upwards boost arrow often makes your plane act erratically and crash. (If you just want a zen experience, "Very Easy" or "Easy" seem to work okay. I wouldn't recommend buying this game for the other reasons the store page advertises though.)
The 'glider shakes out of control when it goes too fast' physics really sucks - it replaces rewarding skill with rolling a dice to see if you'll spin out of control with nothing you can do. Do not recommend. Time to find a game that rewards skill and progression.
As someone who has one of these gliders in real life, the physics are nearly perfect. The way it slightly wiggles when you move the elevons is very accurate. This is for Normal difficulty; Hard is basically impossible. It's likely that at least 1% of the 1.7% of users that apparently completed this on hard cheated the achievement. It took me 2.7 hours to get through the game on Normal. I did this on a controller, and I don't think this would be enjoyable without an analog stick. It's not like Superflight which was made for mouse control. I would say a controller is required. https://store.steampowered.com/app/732430 A Glider's Journey is really good. Definitely worth it for the price.
The controls are terrible, anything but perfection and you're back to the beginning. The field of view is awkward and limiting so you can't judge how far to maneuver in any direction.
https://youtu.be/Q4XILR8Ipmo Appearing to mostly be a tech demo or proof of concept the imprecise controls will turn what could have been a relaxed journey into a monotonous one.
Captain "Sully" Sullenberger plays this game on hard. I like the soothing atmosphere although if you have a tendency to rage quit this is not the game for you.
Clearly a rip-off from the ring parts in Superman 64 and just as bad.
I am sorry, but this is pure trash. You fly from one checkpoint to the next. There is no story, no journey, just ugly maps with circles that you need to fly through. The controls feel super stiff, the game won’t let you take any other paths than the ones that are predicted, the music gets repetitive and the game is extremely hard. The video shown as trailer is the easiest on the easiest difficulty (very easy, not even on easy). Once you die, skip a checkpoint or don’t take the correct path, you restart from the beginning. And you will die a lot of times. How can you pretend to be a “relaxing game” when you are a pain in the ass??? This is far from being satisfying. Furthermore, turning the difficulty up, makes the game unplayable. The checkpoints boost you so much, that the glider goes crazy and becomes uncontrollable. I immediately uninstalled this trash after 20 minutes in.
played it on easy and still couldnt manuver it well. controls make the game kinda of frustraiting.
Will only fly by keyboard (rather than joystick) so cannot recommend.
