Unfortunately, no. The narrative premise is interesting, and a lot could be done with it - but this AVN is bogged down by the amount of characters it has; the difficulties of meshing the morality of that world and this; a protagonist that is exactly the wrong level of cipher; and girls that have plastic barbie faces that you can't unsee once you realise it. Most games with large harems are wise enough to be extremely frugal in the amount of dialogue required to set up each character's personality (if any); and don't push too hard on the envelope between a harem dynamic and our own vaguely monogamous society. This game fails on both points, stripping the eroticism out of the game. I turned on skip unseen text after the first 5 hours to see if the content ramps up - it does but not in a way that actually solves these problems.
Nothing about this game is bad, but everything about it is almost painfully vanilla. Roughly half the girls give you a blowjob, and then you take them missionary style. One or two of them will ride you cowgirl style. And that's it. There are a few minor variations between the girls, skin colour, hair colour... But their models all feel like the default model with a few minor adjustments to the sliders. You won't notice a difference between a sex scene with Sue, Amber or Sally, other than the skin tone, and dialogue around it. Their story backgrounds are somewhat varied, but this does not show in their behaviour towards the mc. From the powerful leader, born and raised to be a general, to the deliberately cursed love slave, they are all timid and submissive towards the mc. Even aurora, distrustful and combative in dialogue for most of the story, turns into a timid virgin once it's her turn for a sex scene. And that's what this feels like. A series of sex scenes almost completely unrelated to the overarching story. Choices are meaningless, clearly marked with 'do you want to see the sex scene, or skip it' icons, with no other impact. I explicitly skipped 'romancing' the fox girl yet still got the pokemon achievement. There are too many girls, and other than Aurora their names are so mismatched that it's impossible to remember them. I especially had trouble remember who Tracy and Amber were whenever they were referenced without actually being present in the scene. And those two are important characters. Invisigal, foxgirl and the blind girl should have been cut outright, without affecting anything. Sue and Sally should have been combined into one, the supportive caring role. Aurora and Tracy should have been one character, kicking the mc's ass, needing taming. Esther and Amber could have been combined into the aloof, analytical but tragically torn archetype, coming through at the last moment to complete the triumvirate, and propel the group to victory. As for the mc, he's the typical fantasy character. Simply the best at everything. He knows everyone, he's done everything, unlimited time, money, space and capability. Always ready, always right. In other words, utterly boring. His perfect fiancé who just so happens to be fine with him ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything in sight. The coworker who doesn't know or trust her boss, but totally wants to bone him one night. A shadowy government organisation that trusts him to do the right thing, and doesn't step in to manage the situation. Yeah, right. It's also clear that as soon as the creator got bored they just dropped in the ending. There's no reason for the end fight to happen when it does. Not all characters have been fully explored yet, not all powers have been integrated into the MC's powerset yet. If they hadn't put in so many girls in the first place, maybe they wouldn't have gotten bored with them, and the story would have flowed better into the ending. Maybe. Model-wise, the character faces I would call genuinely good. Their bodies are average, especially in variation. The animation for the most part is wooden. Basic back and forth movement in otherwise static shots. The static shots are pretty good, though the environment feels sterile, like with most of these games. Empty rooms, sterile work areas. Nothing to make the world feel lived-in. The camera and lighting work were good though. It's not a waste of time or money. It's just bland like a bowl of vanilla yoghurt.

8/10 I almost passed on this. I am emotionally scarred by the flood of samey, poorly written harem games and I really don't have the patience for yet another version of Alpha-male-has-women-like-objects-swoon-for-him. But along came this wonderful game. Goes to show how much great writing can elevate an idea. You have interesting, diverse, living women with their own feelings and emotions and you have a male MC that is actually interesting to get to know. I didn't think that combination existed in this type of game. It is slow, but also incredibly interesting. The story and world building is deep and competent. I am looking forward to see where it goes. Thank you. You have restored some faith in me.
Played this game since it came out on early access 4 years ago, and it's one of my personal favorite VN's i read. I'm very picky on what's a great VN for and I would like to say is that that it is for me. I like the MC, doesn't feel generic and how he's a problem solver for the girls and each of them bring a different take for the story and I enjoy it. Everything feels on point and makes sense at the same time. You should give this one a shot
Aside from the beginning which was straight up bad and confusing to the point I almost dropped this immediately....I actually got past it and things started to make sense....sort of. There are still a bunch of very odd points that don't ever really make sense but I Like it. I think it's a neat story and the characters are interesting. Looking forward to the finished game! Well worth giving a read.
Love the story so far. Love the development of the characters, Each girl has something to admire and fall in love with, except maybe the wife. I would have told her to hit the road after what she did and I guess the MC kind of does with his ultimatum. Hopefully she grows on me. Can't wait for the rest of the story, getting to know people from a different world and views, adapting to their new environment is fascinating as they are so unsure yet do what they can to deal with it.
# A Foreign World — A Fantasy-Themed, Story-Driven Power Fantasy ## Quick, Spoiler-Free Summary A retired superspy becomes involved with nine magically gifted women from a parallel universe while preparing for a deadly confrontation with an overwhelmingly powerful enemy. The game combines supernatural action, spy-movie power fantasy, comedy, romance, and harem development. Its strongest qualities are its patient relationship progression, solid writing, and excellent visuals, although the adult content lacks variety, sound design is limited, and player freedom is heavily restricted by the story. ## Full Story Summary — Major Spoilers
The protagonist is an impossibly capable superspy in the vein of James Bond and Ethan Hunt. Having retired and quietly disappeared into civilian life, he somehow ended up engaged to the daughter of the current President of the United States after the two became involved in one of his previous cases. However, at the beginning of the story, the protagonist and his fiancée are going through a relationship crisis and temporarily taking some time apart. Right on cue, our nine beautiful future harem members enter the picture. They come from another world in a parallel universe, and each of them possesses her own magical abilities. Some can control water, others can manipulate light and heat, while some possess superhuman strength, incredible speed, and even the ability to fly. There are plenty more besides. Basically, they have accumulated almost every imaginable buff. Any ordinary person possessing even one of these abilities could dominate Earth. Now imagine giving them to an already brilliant and exceptionally capable former elite operative. The villain also makes his entrance at exactly the right moment. He is a powerful enemy from that parallel world who travels to Earth using an interdimensional device and possesses hundreds of different abilities. Unfortunately, being completely invincible has apparently become unbearably boring for him. To make things more interesting, he freely gives the protagonist the ability to copy magical powers, on the condition that they fight again in forty days to determine not only the winner, but who gets to remain alive. And so, the protagonist’s forty-day training montage from hell begins. Meanwhile, the harem storyline gradually moves forward. Throughout the entire process, the protagonist maintains the professionalism and restraint expected of a superspy, while also employing a generous amount of calculated push-and-pull seduction. Eventually, all nine women from the parallel universe, his rookie female colleague, and even his fiancée become part of his harem. Before the forty-day deadline has even reached its halfway point, however, the villain gets hungry and decides to visit Earth ahead of schedule. After enjoying a meal at a five-star-rated restaurant he found on Yelp, he gets beaten senseless and brings his evil life to an early end. He dies twenty days ahead of schedule.
## The Good The game exercises as much restraint as possible when it comes to sex. Although this is still a classic adult harem game, every heroine has her own distinct personality. Some are innocent, some seductive, some shy, and some proudly tsundere. Winning each of them over requires the story and relationships to develop naturally over time. It is not like the average adult game where you open someone’s bedroom door at midnight and immediately start pounding away. This restraint allows the player to focus more on the unfolding plot. In terms of writing quality, I would rate it around **3.5 out of 5**. It is not perfectly polished, but it is obvious that the script received a considerable amount of care and attention. The visual quality is also extremely strong. The attention to detail and the character rendering are both first-rate, with very few obvious technical flaws. ## The Bad Some of the female character models are still not quite attractive enough. In an effort to make every character visually distinctive, the developers seem to have exaggerated certain features so much that some of the women actually become less appealing. For example, Tracy’s freckled face sometimes looks strangely dirty. I have no idea why, but Monique occasionally looks oddly masculine. Lucy’s skin is so unnaturally flawless that she sometimes looks more like a plastic doll than a real person. Then there is the unavoidable sexual content of an adult game. There are almost no meaningful options, and the protagonist is limited to a small selection of conventional positions. There is very little creativity or experimentation. Come on. After spending so much time progressing through the story, shouldn’t the player receive a slightly better “reward”? Every woman in my harem is practically throwing herself into the flames for the opportunity to devote herself to me, yet I am still standing there pretending to be some noble gentleman, sticking to old-school positions and pulling out every time in order to preserve my heroic image. At that point, am I even still a real man? The sound design is another weakness. I admit that some of the music is quite good, especially the track featuring the guitar performance. However, the majority of scenes have little or no sound design at all, particularly during the sex scenes. This significantly reduces the impact and immersion. Since the game is still in Early Access, I think it is reasonable to assume that more audio will be added in future updates. Another issue is the women’s clothing. Most of their outfits look painfully unfashionable. Yes, fashion is subjective—but in this particular case, I believe my opinion is objectively correct.
My final complaint may not technically qualify as a flaw, but the balance between player-initiated sexual encounters and story-locked encounters leans almost entirely toward the latter. I understand that I am supposed to be saving the world, training as hard as possible, and preparing for a deadly battle with only forty days available. But are you seriously telling me that, late at night, I never have an opportunity to visit one of my lovers’ bedrooms for a passionate private encounter? Removing that freedom makes the sexual side of the game feel more formulaic and scripted. It becomes excessively dependent on the quality of the writing. Fortunately, the writing is reasonably good. Had the script been terrible, the entire experience would have been absolute torture.
This is a fantastic adult game. The writing is great and the characters are varied and interesting. While there are "superpowers" and an evil superpowered bad guy, it really isn't a superhero-type story. The story is really about these 9 women, refugees from an alternate universe earth that have escaped to our earth in an attempt to flee the bad guy. How they adapt to our earth and learn to trust and love the MC. It's beautifully done and the story is captivating with plenty of emotional and heartwarming moments. I can't recommend it enough.
