Nice idea marred by execution. I want to like it but it just isn't fun because of the choice of two terrible control schemes, either you can't aim but can steer, or you can aim but can't steer. Just surviving more than 60 seconds to get to your first level up seems more about random luck than any skill, and whether you survive longer is entirely RNG based on whether you get an upgrade that lets you hit anything. Furthermore about 50% of level-ups will present you with 3 choices of upgrades that are either a wasted opportunity cost that puts you behind the difficulty curve, or actively harmful. Advice for the dev: make it have mouse aiming/twin stick aiming by default. Remove the thing that varies the turn speed that makes it utterly uncontrollable under advanced controls. Give a clear high-contrast direction of travel indicator so I can see where I'm moving while I'm looking where I'm aiming. Remove the utterly useless starter weapons or tune them so they are a meaningful choice. Fix the hit boxes so you don't take collision damage when you have half a plane's width between you and your opponent, and lose the movement stun on impact too, it just causes death spirals. As it stands, can't recommend even at the super low price, which is a shame because it feels like it OUGHT to be a lot of fun.

I've played a lot of VS clones, don't get me wrong it's not a super bad game. But I can't get over the movement. I tried both types they offer, and just cannot get into it it's way too slow and you're constantly just turning on a horde. Unfortunately the way the movement is has ruined the fun of the game for me which sucks because the trailer looks extremely fun!
I can't recommend this game for the moment. Currently, there is no guarantee that your save data stays intact at all, and as such, I've had to restart the game twice now because my file got wiped, even though it has steam cloud support. This game is also in dire need of balancing, as it currently goes, barely any combinations / styles of playing work at high levels, let me give you some examples: 1. Freeze defence is useless because enemies push other enemies. 2. Poison is useless because you die. 3. Fire is useless because you can spend your upgrades on something better. 4. I've still got no idea what shields do. You would think they would regenerate but I've yet to see that happen. Once again, a wasted upgrade. So you're really just actually limited to maybe 3 styles of play which can actually win the game, which is then layered with a huge level of, "I hope I don't get a 3 bad choices to pick from". Controls are also a big no no from me. Simple controls are fun and exciting, yet don't work with the manual gun. Perhaps let people control that separately with wasd for simple control schemes. But you also can't turn easily for the advanced control schemes either making it inferior unless you have a manual turning gun in which case it balances out a bit. My main gripe is that I still have no idea when my data will wipe next, so can't enjoy it. Would love to see more variation in pilots and a true balance patch for this game.
This is a charming and fun little game. I would recommend it.
I don't mind lo-fi graphics, but these graphics are weird, too blurry. Not a fan of either control scheme the game provides. Can't deal with the controls long enough to make any meaningful progress.
zoom zoom zoom bang bang bang KABOOOOM!!!!
"Advanced" control scheme is terrible and essentially unplayable. Easy control scheme works, but then limits the usefulness of the manually targeted weapons. Upgrades on the main screen take forever to accumulate enough money to afford.
Using gamepad & I just.. can't control the plane. Tried many runs & not even getting close. My entire ~20 minutes of gameplay is entirely made up of sub 15 second runs where sooner or later I fly face first into a swarm of enemies & die. Literally feels like QWOP & I just can't personally grasp it.
simple but fun. Also quite hard 9.5/10
Einfach ein Gutes spiel
