A Clockwork Ley-Line: Daybreak of Remnants Shadow

This review is being written after only reading the first two titles in this series. Clockwork Ley-Line 2 improves upon the first outing by both having a more interesting story and developing some characters in a more satisfying and quick manner. The characters that were focused on in the first entry do somewhat get ignored though as it assumes you have already read the first entry and know their characters fairly well. I think this title takes what was established in the first and builds upon it in a satisfying way overall. There is also a clear setup for the concluding title that, while frustrating, is interesting enough to get you to come back without being too much of a cliffhanger. There are some minor plot holes or inconsistencies between the two visual novels or some suspension of disbelief you'll have, but otherwise it's a pretty solid story so far. Systems and most of the music is reused from the original title, although there is a brand new OP, which is amazing. There are 6 ecchi scenes present. I'd recommend this title to anyone who enjoyed the first title, and so far I'd recommend the series to anyone who enjoys mystery-ish stories.

I love this series, the story is really interesting and I like the characters. Just do not go in expecting the character routes to be great then you will like this.

We got a lot of questionable things happened in the prequel and here, in Clockwork Leyline Daybreak of remnants Shadow, they will all be solved one by one. By far, definitely a really good sequel as everything is slowly revealed, such as the true intention of the principal(Fuhito), where exactly is Mutsuki(Ushio's bff), what exactly is the relationship between morning and night students etc etc. Stay hyped up because it ain't no more just slice of life, things aboutta get serious here. Again, Clockwork Leyline Daybreak of Remnants Shadow bring us 3 routes. just like the prequel. That being Adelheid, Fuhito and Ushio route. Ushio route being the continuation of the main story. And then again, in my honest opinion, Adelheid and Fuhito routes are totally unnecessary because they don't talk a lot on the main story other than just making you understand their character more. I mean, I did find Adelheid a little bit cute due to her gap moe but as for Fuhito, ehh, she kinda running WILD man, Idk, no comment. What surprised me the most is the relationship development between Mitsuyoshi and Ushio. Just as I thought the H scenarios that happened in the prequel wasn't canon because they were described as "dreams/not real" but in Ushio route when she saw Mitsuyoshi have a really good relationship with a nurse, she became so jealous and emotionally unstable and she started ranting and questioning Mitsuyoshi. That moment was a little bit heartbreaking but also very wholesome at the same time as they decided to put aside their feelings for each other because they have more important things to deal with. That basically makes me have a really high expectation to get diabetes on the next sequel. (I just want to see them get icha-icha :c) Obviously, you should be getting this because you've already stepped into the Leyline trilogy, heh. I can guarantee that you will be enjoying this as much as I did because the entire climax and revealing that the story gave me was just like an isekai truck running over you.

J'avais aimé le premier mais sans plus car peu de chose avait été révélé et les bugs techniques pullulaient. Cependant, ce deuxième opus a corrigé le tir avec notamment de grosses et intéressantes révélations vers la fin, j'ai adoré. Hâte de me lancer dans le troisième et dernier jeu qui vient de sortir.

时计四部曲的第二部，建议打补丁游玩 承上启下的一部作，系列作放在中间出的总归是有点吃亏的

interesting story, I'll be sure to read the first one and when it comes out also the third episode. Pretty interesting characters on top of stylish artstyl and a fairly decent soundtrack. shame that there aren't that many routes for it. oh btw I got the true ending on accident haha. pretty good VN 7.5/10. Would recommend it
