80's OVERDRIVE

While it has a nice colorful palette and crisper visuals, everything else about this game seems a bit worse than the games it's trying to evoke. Music is forgettable, audio is poor, stages are mostly flat, the upgrade system is basic. More specific concerns: Manual transmission seems really bad, if you touch another car you downshift to 1st and basically grind to a halt. Automatic did not have this problem. Traffic will weave back and forth as you're trying to pass. I didn't find this challenging as much as annoying. Often it's just a roll of the die whether or not you will get screwed. Police are mostly just frustrating. Other car's emotes are so big they block your view. You have to manually pick the song each race, I found no option for random, or even better stages with associated music. I generally like retro games but I think in this case you're just better off with an emulator of something.

Crash, immediatly crash again because i am still inside the other car, then get pushed into a tree which results in a hard crash, wait to be reset. In the meantime i go from first to fifth place and lose the race. Now i don't have enough money to start another race. Who designs such trash?

It needs a bit of a redesign - too many indie racers put stuff in the way of the actual racing and this does the same. I don't want to have to worry about refueling after each race, or running out of money and not being able to afford the entry fee to races. I didn't get to that point, but it's something I shouldn't even be thinking about. Give me a race and let me try to beat times or other racers, perhaps some other challenges but not grinding for money. It should also feel good straight from the start. The first few tracks here don't even have bumps and you're doing what feels like 30mph. It's incredibly soulless, You have to upgrade the engine to start to feel any sense of speed and the handling is also awful until you upgrade. That's the same mistake The Crew made. After just under an hour, I was fed up with having some random collision near the end of a race and finishing second because the AI decides to weave into you. There is no 'glancing' off cars here, any sort of touch and you just stop for a second. I didn't feel like I had 100% control of where I was finishing, and that's a deal breaker. Overall, the graphics look great and it runs super smooth, but the design of the career makes it the kind of grind I can't enjoy.

[h2][i]Lamborghini American Challenge: Neon Edition[/i][/h2] Seriously, people keep bringing up comparisons to Outrun and every other game under the sun save for the actual inspiration for this game, the racing fees, car damage and upgrades, the neutral cars on the road and the police system, even the map and its stars representing the races is a throwback to the SNES game, all it lacks is the betting system before the races. If you played or saw that game everything here is familiar, with "updated" but still retro graphical style.

A mí personalmente me ha desbloqueado un recuerdo increíble: ¡me recuerda muchísimo al mítico Lamborghini American Challenge! 😍 Lo que más me ha gustado: Esencia Retro Total: Capta a la perfección las mecánicas y el espíritu de los juegos de carreras de antaño. Es directo, desafiante y endiabladamente divertido. 🏁 Estética Pixel Art de 10: El nivel de detalle visual es una auténtica locura. Los escenarios, los coches y los colores te sumergen por completo en una onda synthwave espectacular. 🌆🌴 Personalización y Contenido: No se queda solo en la superficie. Tiene un montón de opciones, mejoras para los coches y una progresión que te mantiene pegado a la pantalla. 🔧🚗 Banda Sonora Brutal: La música tiene un estilo propio brutal. Es el complemento perfecto para pisar a fondo el acelerador mientras disfrutas del paisaje pixelado. 🎵🎧 En resumen: Un homenaje perfecto a la vieja escuela que no solo vive de la nostalgia, sino que se siente genial de jugar hoy en día. Ótimo jogo! Pode se tornar um pouco repetitivo e carece de uma campanha multiplayer, mas é diversão certa para os fãs de Top Gear e (principalmente) Lamborghini American Challenge.

Preciosos graficos, buena musica y una jugabilidad que como dice el titulo huele a arcade de los 80, falta la rubia al lado.
