It's a defense game that blocks 50 waves. But Hero has just woken up from the seal and is powerless. So you have to protect your castle while growing up your warrior.

A fun little game. Took me about 40 minutes to finish, but still have some more stuff to unlock.
The game itself is fun, I enjoyed dying 5 times in 25 minutes. There is a problem with the loot system and UI in general but they are just small annoyances. Unless you play this a lot and get several hundred items you need to click through after every death.
Recommended as a "No" but with a caveat. If you want to support indie developers and the potential for future content of this game, I'd recommend to "Yes!". Graphics 3/5: Super cute and fun. I like this type of pixel-y / blocky art style. There is no option for windows mode or border-less windows. No option to set high-graphics or low-graphics (though this game isn't that intensive on any hardware). Not too crazy of animations, wish there were more explosions or sparkles or just something. Sound/Music 3/5: The music composition of the game fits, the music makes the game feel face-paced (as it should). I'm not sure whether there are multiple songs or not, but because the music is so well crafted, it feels like is only one song played throughout the game, so if you don't like the retro music that goes with the game, than maybe it isn't for you. I wish there was a bit more variety in the music, like maybe shuffle through 5 songs of differing tempos or something, once for every 10 stages or so. Moreover, I wish there were more variety in the sound effects for killing different monsters or hitting against the wall or hitting the fire or grabbing/buying different objects. Overall though, the music and sound effects fit the game and nothing was glaringly wrong, just needs more variety. Gameplay 3.5/5: You basically control a character block that runs into monsters to kill them to defend your castle (through 50 waves, bosses at every 10th wave). You have to manage your time carefully because you may choose to leave your castle undefended for a bit to go explore the land to kill pve monsters / boxes to gain gold and then buy items at shops or go explore the land to find items/scrolls. If you fail at killing a boss, you die and have to start all over, but at each run, you'll potentially unlock gear to help with the future runs. Warning, there are bugs though (talked about in overall rating section below). Overall I think its a cool concept but I wish there was a randomly generated land or maybe more variety in mobs, perhaps a skill tree or a 1-3 abilities you could shoot, or just more content to make the game more interactive/enjoyable. Overall 3.2 rating: The game-play is fun up to a certain point. After you beat the game for the first time (which took me under an hour), you'll find yourself asking "is that it?", which is a bit of a disappointment. There just needs to be more content. Additionally, the game isn't without a couple bugs. You'll find yourself having to click through equipment unlock prompts over and over (you can't click skip) after you die, and the game will re-show you equipment you've already unlocked. There is also a weird glitch (not sure if its intentional) but when you go through portals in caves, sometimes you'll be spawned in the unreachable locations in the cave. Definitely feels like a game that is unfinished. Overall, a good game to enjoying for a short while. Needs to be cleaned up bug-wise. I bought the game to support the developers, but if you don't care about that sort of thing and just are looking for a game that will occupy you for a bit, I don't think this is a buy, you should hold off until this game is a bit more flushed out.
The game is way too short. I beat it within 1 hour. You lose a lot of time because of the item-unlock spam you have to go through every time you die and restart, which seems like a bug. It just shows you all 'new' unlocked items after you die, but also repeats this for every item you already unlocked. The game is cute and it makes fun for a while, but I think I wouldn't have touched it anymore after that one hour I played it. So yeah, you should decide if this is what you want to spent your money on. Maybe wait for a 99cent sale to get this, so it might be worth it. I would give a maybe for recommendation if steam had this type, but since it doesn't and there were Bugs which should have been obvious and been able to fix before release, I give a thumb down here.
I'm enjoying completing the achievements. Only downside are the bugs plaguing the game. At the end of each round endless clicking through each reward, after beating the game and starting a new round exiting the castle the world does not load, till you quit and re-load the game and finally, knockback late game (Wave 50 boss) caused me to clip through the enemy portal, and get stuck inside, unable to come out and ofc lose... Game has a lot of potential, it's fast paced, extremely fun solving all the puzzles while protecting the castle. Maybe some more randomized events could be fun.
Thought this game was fun. The fighting style and art was good. Music was nice to listen to. Finding out where the loot is and good pathing was fun. Thought it was worth the money. Don't know how much replayability there is since there are no difficulty settings and you cannot just keep going after 50 waves. Only cons being that each time you finish a run, you unlock items. However, on successive attempts, you will see all the notifications for every item you've triggered an unlock for so far. So if on run 1 you unlock items A and B, and then on run 2 you unlock items A B and C, you will see notifications for A, B, A, B, and then C. And you have to click through them all. This is a bug that I am sure would be easy to fix if the developers see this. All in all, fun cute game. Worth a play, took me around 40min to beat.
