About
Want to learn Blender but don't know where to start? Start here.
Built for complete beginners. If you already know Blender, this game is not for you.
3D Skills Start Here teaches your first steps in Blender through play, mini games, and puzzles. No tutorials to sit through. You learn by doing. If you already know what G, R, and S do, you're past what this game teaches.
Backed by over 1,000 supporters on Kickstarter and built by a small team that believes learning Blender shouldn't start with countless YouTube videos you pause every 8 seconds.
What you'll learn:
Orbit, Pan, Zoom — move the camera and look around a 3D scene
View Selected — snap your view to any object instantly
Move, Rotate, Scale — place, spin, and resize objects exactly where you want them
Delete, Add Objects — clear the scene and bring in new shapes
Camera Render — frame a shot and capture it as an image
Object vs Edit Mode — switch between moving whole objects and reshaping them
Vertices, Edges, Faces — select and edit the building blocks of any 3D model
Collectible Creator Cards are hidden throughout the game, each featuring a real Blender creator and their work. Finish the game and you'll know exactly where to keep learning.
Suzanne is your guide. DUBE is your problem. Pick up the skills, free your friends, and find out if you've got what it takes to start creating in 3D.

At this time the game is very early access but it has a lot of potential! I look forward to coming back and finding updates! <3
If you are looking for an in-depth introduction to Blender right now, this is not it. it introduces roughly 5 total concepts (all being the most basic options you could probably find out about on your own just by working with a sample cube). I held off on doing this for a while, and I regret doing so because I would have been able to refund this after completing it with all the levels 3-starred in 9 mintues (two of which were spent trying to put it in full-screen mode (which I found out you can't). If they expand on this, I will look into it in the future. But in its current state? I honestly don't even think it should sport a price tag. This is a glorified demo more than anything else. If any updates release to where it would be worth investing more time into, I will revisit this review. But for now, this game has some potential, but overall, is not worth getting right now.

Nearly as buggy as Blender itself! It's cute and actually a pretty good introduction to 3D software controls but it's a bit... unfinished. Hence the early access I guess. Needs smoother game-ness to get better effect on it's target audience I think, but it's a good thing someone is thinking about Blender on-boarding through video games. It's DEFINITELY not ready yet but I'm excited to keep an eye on it as it updates
its in early access and i hate how negative people are being this is a really ambitious game and a very great idea and it could be the thing that finally allows noobs to pick up blender hope my 6 bucks helps the development
The bugs make it break. Game is unplayable.
While this game has a lot of promise, And I really liked some of the details and mechanics that this uses to portray skills for blender itself, I found the ability to move the camera was way too slow, even with the sensitivity put to the max. That said, it took me less than 30 mins to either get through all the games content and the most I learned is how to position the camera, pan the camera, and move already made objects around. Past that the game softlocked and I couldn't figure out how or where to go for about, 5 or so minutes. With no pause menu attached to the escape button, it took me a moment to realise that tab did that job instead, but even on the main menu, I couldn't actually quit the game. I needed to close the window manually. Once this game gets some updates and QoL changes, I think this could actually help people learn blender, but right now it's just a buggy game that doesn't have alot of content, and is incredibly easy to sequence break for those who like to explore first before continuing the main game. I'll be sure to revisit this later and give another review once some updates come out.
This is far from done. It's offensive that it was released as an early access game. it's not even ready for an alpha! maybe 5 or maybe 10mins worth of gameplay at most. teaches you how to use your mouse, open blender so you can learn that for free so disappointed and so not worth it i might write moar later
i want to like this game i really do but for god sake it is a buggy mess, its clearly a work in progress but holy molly does it need more time in the oven!
This is a game that feels like it's in its pre-alpha stages. It is absolutely not a game that should be available to purchase.

Very few sounds or music
No instructions, directions, guides that lead the player on what to do
Quest arrow points to edge of map
Game breaking bug within the first 10 minutes of playing
No pause or save menu (nor any indicators that the game is being auto saved)
