To survive in the wilderness always seems to be something dangerous and scary. But in this game you'll stay alone with nature, which does not want to kill you. Wild animals are aggressive here, but they just defend their territory and themselves. Animals will study you and your habits.

A new survival game, 365 Days! This game has some positive aspects, but overall it is just too empty to recommend. There are only a handful of things to craft, only two materials to use, and not much to interact with. I attached a gameplay video below that shows you pretty much everything in the game as it is on Day 1: https://youtu.be/8xSUZuQWnu0 365 Days #1 failure is that there really is no motivaion to explore, craft or do anything in the game world. The survival mechnics need some work pronto. Secondly, in the video I posted I find all 4 "walls" of the game, and they are not far from eachother, the playable area is VERY small. As I walked around I only found trees, rocks, rabbits, and some weird floating crystals to interact with. You can only craft 4 or 5 things, but there really is no reason to do so since there are no enemies in the game! Which is something the devs say in the overview, like its a feature? ALSO if you press F next to a tree, it explodes into the wood collectables. I assume this is a glitch, beacause then why would I have an axe to chop it down? On the plus side, the graphics, while simple are very charming IMO. Like that little water bottle is super cute. Also all the mechnics of the game actually work, which is good. So yep, right ow at this point the game is unrecommendable as there simply is nothing to do. Seriously, watch my video, you'll see everything this game has to offer right now. Hopefully the developers continue to work on it, as the bones of the game are fine, they just need to put some meat on it!
First time i've played a survival game where your not allowed to drink water... I don't care how much a developer in his mind imagines, plans, or promises in future what his or her game is going to be. The market value SHOULD ONLY reflect what’s currently applicable to the gamer, not what’s in future to be promised. Early Access Indie Developers all too often lose enthusiasm, become side tracked or wrongly fantasise in the realm of unrealistic production goals. Simply put… for $10.00 I could buy working games like portal, left for dead 2, Payday 2 or in turn I could buy this one, a survival game which has been in early access for over a year and a half now and still hardly anything works. I mean where do I start with this one? How about the premise of creating a survival game where your supposed to live 365 days only to find out once you start playing that the developers forgot to add the ability for your character to be able to collect and drink water. This means that you will die of thirst on the first day of spawning. I mean wow on the oversight factor. The only way around this is to die at the place you always respawn so that you can quickly collect your back pack again. Next let’s mention that this so called survival simulator takes a dozen or more unrealistic slap myself in the forehead liberties. Yes, things like the fact that you can craft guns within the first minute of being washed up on shore. Or that hitting a rock with your axe will magically give you pick axes, or that pick axes can explode complete mountain sides with very few swings, or that chickens that wander around the island are for some reason bullet proof, or that fire torches work well underwater, or that Monty Python rabbits buzz around the island making sounds like bumble bees. Or that every block you create in the game can never be destroyed. Should I go on? Let’s also discuss the matter that there is hardly anything to do. Fishing doesn’t work, while you can craft a fishing rod, fish aren’t interested with a giant red circle that you can throw in and out the ocean. I even tried to shotgun a fish, alas, that did not work either. Then there is farming, the only thing you can grow is blueberries by placing an allocated plot vertically. This means that you can only grow blue berry bushes horizontally out of walls you create. Why? Because the developer forgot to add rotation! Then there is the matter that there are only three types of blocks that you can create buildings with (wood, cobblestone, steel), things like glass can’t be created because the game does NOT register when you pick up and mine the required ingredients of white crystals. Achievement hunters should also be aware that all the Steam achievements are bugged and can only be unlocked using something like (S.A.M). The only thing to do in this skeleton framework of a game is to wander around the island feeling like a dwarf because the weeds are extremely suffocating and feel small knowing you have just been scammed. I don’t care that the developers picked the wrong game engine. I don’t care that the developers have declared that they are currently rewriting all the coding. All I care about is that they are currently selling something which is seriously broken, inconsistent and flawed for an outrageous downright greedy price tag. LOWER THE PRICE. I mean how do you have the audacity to sell a survival game where you can’t even drink water??? I really tried to get my monies worth. I show you the complete game what’s on offer in the video below. Then the second video shows you the only way I was able to drink water in game.
Absolutely stay away
This dev thinks that the way to handle any sort of criticism is by blocking people after having mocked them. I called them out for practically copy-and-pasting the interface from Rust into their game (which they did) and they replied "metafish, Did you know that there are thousands of games and movies of the same genre? In which much is very similar to each other? Apparently not. Now you know. :steamhappy:" <-- this is not the way to talk to anyone you don't want to upset, by laughing at them and blocking them. Apparently not... You're right. https://www.gamingonlinux.com/uploads/articles/article_media/1500064203ouch.jpg Say what you want but this is literally the only other game with that interface design I've ever seen OTHER THAN RUST. So excuse me for not believing the "thousands of games from the same genre line" This is just another crappy survival game that is only damaging the genre. Achievements that are for walking into invisible walls, AI still in T-pose in the first area, moments that instantly teleport you into other areas without context, non-interactive AI with an "achievement" for not being able to interact with them, no sprint (at least in the first zones), graphics look like Windows 95, and there is no option to change any of the audio settings. Just play Rust.
Absolute and exceedingly lazy Unity Asset GARBAGE. And to think that this game was actually in "early access" developement for more than two years right here on Steam... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMcIHg0Rx4g&feature=youtu.be This developer should be ashamed of himself and this abomination and huge pile of Unity asset fecal matter he calls "365 Days"... My score using my indie game reviewing system: a NEGATIVE 10 on a scale of 0 to 100. Nothing of value what-so-ever and a negative point for every American dollar this shameless developer is asking for it. NOT RECOMMENDED. Go pay a random farmer $10 for some fresh pig crap and rub it all over your body BEFORE you buy this trash as that would be a much better way to spend your money.. At least that farmer might be able to buy a loaf of bread, some butter, and a gallon of milk. Farmer Jed would also be much more deserving of your money than this scam artist developer.
I chopped a tree down and it sent me flying through the ocean 10/10
Okay, it's really, really really early access. But it's already fun to explore. It looks good already, the sound is interesting. I haven't seen an animal, but I only played 30 minutes, maybe that's the reason why. It's a good beginning. I bet it will be a great game. The price is good, too. And hey, some "early features" are actually entertaining. You can walk on water like Jesus in the bible, for example. :D
