About
The Peabody Award winning 1000xRESIST is a thrilling sci-fi adventure. 1000 years in the future, humanity is all but extinguished and a disease spread by an alien occupation keeps the survivors underground. You are Watcher. You dutifully fulfil your purpose in service of the ALLMOTHER, until the day you learn a shocking secret that changes everything.

In the near future we learn we are not alone in the universe. A mysterious alien race of giant entities arrives. We call them the Occupants.
They are not hostile, but it doesn’t matter. Their arrival is a death sentence. Humanity is wiped out in a matter of months, succumbing to a disease the Occupants have brought to our planet.
There is one survivor, a teenage girl called Iris. Somehow she is immune.

1000 years later. Iris is not only immune but immortal. She has birthed a new society consisting exclusively of her own clones.
She calls them Sisters. They call her the ALLMOTHER.
Unlike the ALLMOTHER, the sisters are not immune. They must wear masks 24/7 to avoid breathing the diseased air even in the Orchard - an underground bunker where they live in constant fear of an Occupant attack.
The ALLMOTHER lives in her own compound on the front line of the war with the Occupants. All Sisters dream of one day being able to take the train and join her in the fight.

Within the Orchard, every sister has an assigned function, while six sisters have special roles to play…
Principal - Head of administration and oversight of the Orchard
Bang Bang Fire - Head of military
Knower - Head of knowledge preservation
Fixer - Head of engineering
Healer - Head of medical and cloning
And you - the new Watcher.
Your role is unique. You have the great privilege of reliving and interpreting the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process known as Communion, made possible by Secretary, your floating AI companion.
As the game begins, you are excited to embark on your first Communion.
But all is not well.
Your closest sister, Fixer, comes to you with a dangerous revelation. You have been lied to. The ALLMOTHER is not what she claims to be.
Fixer’s claims rock the foundations of your world, throwing everything you know and believe into doubt.
After Fixer is executed for her treason, it falls to you to discover the truth.

Dive into the memories of the ALLMOTHER.
Explore pivotal moments in her life from high school days and the arrival of the Occupants to the creation of the Orchard and the birth of the first sisters.
Jump back and forth through moments in time within these memories to solve puzzles and access locked off areas and secrets.
In between Communions, explore the Orchard - a large underground hub area which houses you and your sisters, has many characters to speak to, and holds many things to uncover.
Find the truth and reclaim your legacy.

Experience perspective shifts both literal and metaphorical as the game blends between 3rd person adventure, visual novel and first person walking simulator while throwing twists, turns and revelations at you until you question everything you think you know.

Reviews
This game is incredible, rich, heartbreaking. It is everything I have ever wanted in a videogame, or even in a story. The gameplay is simple and engaging. From a difficulty perspective alone, I'd say anyone can play it. I went in blind, and I suggest you do too. If you care about the craft of narration at all, I urge you to play 1000xResist. ( But first, have this virtual hug; you'll need it. )

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played 1000xRESIST over a year and a half ago now and I still think about it. This is an epic sci-fi visual novel that navigates through a slew of topics ranging from generational trauma to revolution and it devastates you over and over again. While there isn't much in terms of "traditional" gameplay, the game utilizes its 3D environments really well, pacing out the story and having you revisit locations so that you are familiar with every nook and cranny and watch them change as the stories events plough through them. I think the biggest achievement here is just how adult the game is. I think most video games suffer from being fables - by apparent necessity, they need to wrap things up neatly and so perhaps there are one or two "lessons" to be learned by the character and/or the player. 1000xRESIST offers nothing of the sort. While the game's ending(s) offer a very good resolution, almost none of the central questions the game raises have a definitive answer and you're left with the struggle and what you make of it yourself. For a debut coming from a group that previously worked in the performing arts, this is a truly outstanding piece of work that sinks its teeth into you and does not let go.
Incredibly beautiful and painful game, easy recommend if you're okay with walking sim games. 9/10
Walking Sim. I probably would've avoided it if I knew. The plot was okay, but it felt messy. Even after getting all the endings, I was still confused on a couple of things. It was interesting, but I was getting bored and annoyed so often. Plot is pretty much a varying gradient of tragedy, which is eh. 6/10. It's okay, not my cup of tea, but I was still able to get to the end.
1000xRESIST is an absolute masterpiece. Never has a game - at first glance "basic-looking" - blown me away in such a way with its' story writing, that it would stay with me for a long, long time (very few games have such an impact on me). If you haven't yet done so, I would HIGHLY encourage you to give this game a spin. Props to sunset visitor for this debut title. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next. The more time I spent with the game, the more impressed I became with the sharp, clever writing and the depth of meaning, captured in almost every frame. What I considered to be a 3-4 hour playthrough quickly evolved into a 17 hour spiral. The moment to moment interactions with all the characters really bring this story to life.
In just a simplified summary this game implores you to be better than the ones that came before, to try harder and to fight for a better world. Not only for ourselves but for those that will be there, long after we are gone. For after all that is said and done, though our memories die with us, our legacy can live on in them.
Don't have a clever joke, just get it
An utterly intriguing exploration of the life and mind of our protagonist, as we explore how her world became the way it is, both mentally and physically. It's a game that most certainly be described as a post-apocalyptic and focused on psychological introspection. Finally discovering the truth is both satisfying yet saddening. Noticing parallels with the protagonist's regrets and my own was both enlightening and sobering. While the gameplay itself is simplisitic and straightforward, the story is a must-experience. I found myself playing late into the night just trying to learn a little more, and was overwhelmed by the end, and sad to see it over.
