100 Hidden Capybaras

Let me preface this by saying that I love these types of games, so I was really excited to play this one. I especially liked the different twist of having to find specific capybaras in a certain order rather than simply finding them all at once. That being said, I did find the gameplay frustrating at times. Moving around the screen felt incredibly slow, which made searching more tedious than enjoyable. There were also several capybaras hidden behind objects where their distinguishing details weren’t actually visible, so I sometimes had to click on them and essentially guess whether they were the correct one. I really wanted to enjoy this game because the concept is cute and exactly the type of game I normally love, but unfortunately, I personally struggled to get through it. With smoother navigation and a little more visibility for the hidden capybaras, I think it could be a much more enjoyable experience.

A more appropriate title for this would be "100 Scattered Capybaras". All are in plain sight, but the developer wants you to find them in a certain order. Which would be fine, except you cannot zoom in enough to see details per capybara in the actual game. This makes it not fun at all and instead becomes tedious.

100 Hidden Capybaras is a “find the animal” game with a clever twist. Instead of simply clicking on every capybara you see, the game prompts you to find a specific one, adding extra challenge and extending gameplay. With 10 levels and 11 achievements, it offers a fresh take on a familiar genre. If you enjoy hidden object games and want something that requires a bit more focus and effort, this one is definitely worth trying.

Scrolling is a struggle. Differentiating is a chore. Not a lot of fun to be had with this one.
