Your Price, Your Honor.

So, this is a complicated review to write. I finished the game in under an hour, and didn't find my choices were significant. I did buy the game for $1.31, which is not a lot, but it still felt more like a free demo rather than a full game. I liked the artstyle and the premise, it felt very interesting and like you had to make some hard choices, but in reality once you unlocked most of the cards and can only reduce crime rate and protests, your actions dont actually matter. I will still recommend this game as (from my understanding) this is a solo dev/ really small team and i want them to have the necessary resources and motivation to improve the game. I really enjoyed the fact that there was no time limit and i could just chill and think about my choices. Here are some of the things i feel need more work: 1. the choices the player makes need to be more significant 2. i encountered a bug where some newspaper articles did't show properly 3. a more in depth tutorial would be appreciated, as i found it hard understanding what each card does or what the public image card does 4. some more mechanics would make the game much much more enjoyable and lenghen the playtime 5. another bug i encountered was that the option to check if the accused was a relative of a public person didn't appear even when i got a card stating that they were in fact relatives. I think the game would greatly benefit from an early access period where the dev/s could add more content and fix some of the bugs that appear, then, ill gladly play the game again!

Your Price, Your Honor" has a great core concept with a lot of potential. When I first saw it, I thought it would be a captivating bureaucratic thriller similar to Papers, Please. Unfortunately, the current state of development is at a low level. It feels more like a prototype/beta than a finished demo/game. One of the biggest drawback is the visual presentation + lack of tips/introduction to the lore of this game. The worst offenders are the stamps, they look a bit cheesy. Happy to play again once the game is fully developed.
