If the game didn't close itself, you aren't done, and maybe that's not even the end. I may have only got one potential ending. The dev thinks he is hilarious and clever, not sure if I have the patience to find out if that's true or not. Yes it takes time to get to the point, yes everything is really generic at first, yes you get made fun of by the characters near the end. That's the point. That's probably the only point. Maybe....I don't know. I may have to try again at some point, see if the first few (...chapters?) affect the rest or if it's even worth finding out
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME IT'S NOT READY FOR TESTING YET. GAME CRASHED after 1st objective/level completed (after 1st dragon). Some sounds missing so you hear a "screetch" instead of a bell. Frequently there will be green bars / lines across screen (incorrectly used drawing routines and or broken java beans). If you expand small play window the scrolling becomes bad (textures appear to have moire effect or are blinky). (this would mean either my screen is way too small or resizing up breaks the code or most likely the program is writing graphics incorrect for the given graphics size/color - meaning it works mistakenly/trivially with glitches at one size but fails at other sizes). Not joy, really no paddle either: keyboard only. Java script errors while playing. Art: ok, character art good. Music: good and bad - depends where. Story: cheesy like old rpg. As others mentioned you finish one "mini story" then the game ends and another begins. I can't suggest this game because it's really not worth the grind to buy weapons to beat dragon for 1/2 hr only to have the game freeze (and 1/2hr to 1hr is how long the plot lasts until plot change). And the girl companion was cute - but she's gone in next plot i assume (0 character development).
it starts out a bit dull but once the king gives you access to the open world it really takes off
It's a bit of a grind to the first boss, but after that the game moves pretty quick. I'm now in the dream realm and no longer understand what to do, but I had fun getting here. Oh, on OSX Steam tries to launch the game via java.exe, which doesn't exist. Pay attention to the file path in the error message (~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/You Doesn't Exist/openjdk/bin/java.exe) and make that as a bash script: ``` #!/bin/bash ./rpgboss ``` Be sure to mark it as executable with `chmod +x java.exe`
This is not an RPG in a real sense. If you can open up to new concepts, are patient and curious, this game might be the right choice for you. However if you don't want to immerse into a semi-stressful, challenging session but want to have plain fun, I do not recommend it. However, in total, it can be entertaining, thought-provoking and surprising. I'll give it 7/12
It's actually the worst game I've ever played its insanely bugged there are points where you cant even continue because the game is VERY bugged, this game obviously wasn't play tested at ALL. There are millions of visual bugs that just ruin the experience, and don't let me get STARTED on the battle system it is SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow it's not even funny some battles can take 15 minutes and you do no damage at all. The dialogue has so many grammar errors. This game was very rushed it is not worth your time playing please do not download this piece of ♥♥♥♥.
