A rather fab update to a very old 2600 classic. Keeps the spirit of the original but updates it in impressive ways.
Fun shooter, very entertaining and challenging as you progress. Recommended for fans of the genre👍
Wow. Okay, having played the original on Atari... This is kinda similar. But not really. So, if you are looking for the return of the revenge of the titular Yar...It's kinda that. But again kinda not. You can eat the Shields so there is that. That said, this is excellent. Arcade action. A variety of level designs all following the same basic core design concepts. Decent art and music. Over all, not bad at all. Rarely do I say this but... I DO recommend this game. The arcade nature makes it kinda short so take that under consideration.
a fun blast from the past, re-imagining the concept on modern hardware.
This is the second of two games that actually works with minimal glitching from normal Logitech controllers. This game was also the reason i purchased the Atari collection. Had it not been for this game and Asteroids working, i would have demanded a refund. Two working games out of an entire collection is unacceptable. If you can get this game seperately, get it, but avoid the Atari Pack.
Low Stress. Chippy like Dual-Stick-Shoot-Em-Up best suited for Beginners. (my opinion) On a deep Sale 8/10 Full Price 6/10
I had fun even though the majority of my hours were trying to beat the arcade mode. lol
This is 'Yars Revenge" on steroids. This game is amazing. The studio picked up the original game play and evolved it into something new and futuristic.
When I redid my PC, I noticed all my save progress disappeared, meaning there is no cloud save. This is inexcusable in this day and age for the Steam platform. Thumbs down strictly for that oversight on their part. Original review: A fun, interesting, and original twist on the Yars Revenge game from the Atari 2600. The game is dual stick based, so that needs to be considered if planning on using an arcade stick with it. Worth picking up if it's on sale.
Very engaging game. and a great sequel for those who remember and love the original by HSW!
