This is AWESOME!!! OK, there are still some (very) rough edges, the devs acknowledge that and are working on improving it. I've seen quite a few 'put you there' style 3D vids in VR and while they are compelling, they make no use at all of the 6df ability of VIVE and RIFT to move around and view from different angles - you are always 'nailed to the spot'. No Longer. Volumetric video is stunningly different, in terms of the immersion and the possibilities for entertainment, communication and education are limitless. this is one of those killer apps that the platform needs to bring VR to a wider audience. I'm not sure how long it will take for content creation to become cheap enough for users to contribute their own work, but these things do take time. For now, I'm happy to watch this closely for more content, more refined edging and better resoloution. TLDR: 10/10, would watch 3D gogo dancer again!

EF EVE™ - Volumetric Video Platform (VR & Desktop) is a free to play video capture software that supports VR. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ?, sounded ? You have to sign up for an account at the devs website. You need Hardware to use this program for the intended purpose of making your own Volumetric Video files, two Kinetc v 2 cameras. Far as i could see there is No pre-loaded data files that you can look at just to see some Volumetric Video. The devs have a subscription plan so i guess there is no free data files to look at. I looked through their website and found only two files to look at on my free account, neither had a download button. They might be adding another camera model to use soon. This program might be abandoned. The devs have other software to sell you for making Volumetric Video on their website. The sign up feature does not work in the program, had to go to website to sign up for account. The hologram and environments load window says Retry Connection even when signed in and does not show any thing to try out. Download this Only, if you have 2 Kinect v2 camera and you are looking to try making Volumetric Video.

looks like a great idea, but its seems like the developer gave up on it.
