short and fun almost i'd say a prologue game and if so i am most certainyl looking forward to the sequel

A very short game. I think for being a game made by university students, it was well made. It have a nice ambient and the platform part is very nice. Short, but i enjoyed my time playing it. Un juego muy corto. Creo que, para ser un juego hecho por estudiantes universitarios, está bien hecho. Tiene un ambiente agradable y la parte de plataformas es muy buena. Es corto, pero disfruté mucho jugándolo.

For a free metroidvania, Xenosis is an amazing start to a hopefully much larger project! The absolute only thing that myself and a friend who tried the game could critique is that the inability to rebind controls makes it frustrating for people who have 60% keyboards which do not have dedicated arrow keys. Other than that, the art was very well done for a small project, all of the enemy types although basic had very readable telegraphing, the boss fight simple and felt exactly how a tutorial boss should feel, and to top it all off, there was a secret room! Well done, devs! Hopefully we can see the second, third, and maybe fourth rooms soon!

Short but sweet FREE metroidvania that feels pretty smooth to play but stays relatively basic. The combat feels a bit clunky but works well enough for regular enemies and the one bossfight. The controls work mostly fine but there's a little bit of input delay sometimes and you can't let go of a ledge without climbing up first. The platforming is fine & the level design is pretty decent with a bit of openess to it. The visuals are quite nice, consisting of some solid pixel art and good looking backdrops. There's some difficulty to see spikes though, and most of the time you'll take damage from them to notice it. The one soundtrack it has was suprisingly good all things considered. All in all the game is fun to play, it has some quirks and is super short but it's literally free. Come get your quick MV fix here, we all know you want it. And then onto the next!

After reading the store page, I have to give this a thumbs down. This is a very experimental feeling and very much unfinished game. I have no idea whether it will be finished or not at the time of writing this review. The only points I can give it are reasonable feeling controls and a graphics style that is intriguing. The cons are numerous. Lack of music, stuff that feels largely unexplored, a single boss fight that does no damage to you with its abilities as far as I could see, and controls that are only on a keyboard. While this game is free, the store page makes it sound as if it's going to be a far bigger game with far more development and work than is shown here. Not recommendable, unless this game gets updated with signs of improvement down the road.

Визуальная составляющая выполнена на высоком уровне, а звуковое сопровождение добавляет реализма и погружения. Xenosis не прощает легкомыслия, но именно эта сложность и заставляет возвращаться к ней снова и снова, стремясь преодолеть очередное препятствие. Если вы любите жанр survival, то эта игра точно заслуживает вашего внимания.
