A great game for the whole family or for an evening with friends.
I had the pleasure to be a playtester for this game and I can tell you: xDasher is an exciting and enjoyable game, no matter if you play it with friends or on your own. (But I personally prefer to play it as co-op.) There are lots of levels to beat, each facing the players with different challenges through various enemy types and obstacles. Some levels are more challenging than others, but it always feels very rewarding when you finally dashed through the last enemy and the door to the next level opens. The game uses the simple dash mechanic in different ways, which makes it easy to learn, because the answer to basically everything is dash. See an enemy? Dash! See a bottomless hole in the ground? Dash! Your friends are paralyzed? Dash! The music is catchy, and the playable characters are adorable (the yellow one is my favourite, because the hat kind of looks like Jake the Dog). And I love the sound the barrels make while walking through them. It reminds me of bubble wrap. In sum I highly recommend this game. The only thing missing is an entire level filled with barrels.
Including the demo and the testing sessions I've played this game for several hours now, and I have to say it's a really great arcade-style coop game. The core mechanic of the dash feels very snappy and good to execute and coordinating with your teammates to beat a hard level feels very satisfying. There are also quite a few different enemy types which brings a decent amount of variety to the levels. On the one hand, playing this with friends is super fun and I would recommend it for a chill couch co-op game night. You shouldn't forget the singleplayer, though, which makes for a really entertaining high score chase. It's all about trying to get that perfect run and get first place on the leaderboards. Also, one run takes only around 15 minutes so you can just play one or two rounds pretty much whenever you feel like it. Game gets a strong recommendation from me, especially if you enjoy arcadey games with crisp controls or if you just want to have some co-op fun with friends.
It's a really fun game. Cool mechanic, great level design, varying enemies, charming pixel art graphics and super cool music. What do you want more? Everyone who loves couch coop games should play this!!! Even though it is way more fun playing it together with friends the singleplayer levels are also fun and challenging to play.
Super clean design that leads to a really satisfying core gameplay loop. Fair warning, the main progression/replayability is chasing high scores, so if that doesn't appeal to you it might be a short experience
bitte Multiplayer Remote Play suckt
If you’re looking for a nifty little game you can play with your buddies, have a try at xDasher. I had a blast playing with my friends, even the ones not that aren’t seasoned video game players. The controls are easy to learn (and customisable!) and once you get the hang of it, you’ll be dashing through the levels with ease. At least until someone screws up and all of you start arguing who is responsible for ruining your highscore. ;) Great fun, awesome co-op game with cool music, perfect for entertaining evenings on the couch. The hunt for the highscore will keep you busy for quite some time. I also really love the Franconian translation and the option to play the game in solo mode. 10/10, I'd absolutely recommend this game!
It's a very neat Gameconcept. Allthough there is a Singleplayer, the game shines more brightly in coop. If you have friends who are up for couch coop you should give xDasher a try!
Great fun and super smooth over sth like Parsec!
It's perfectly OK as a game. The concept is there as a co-op puzzle game, but my group got bored after an hour. For $5, it's a good couch-coop game.. but just good. 5/10.
