unless the experience youre looking for is to play the clickteam equivalent of taking shrooms then playing a geometry dash knock off on scratch with visuals made by toddler then this game is most certainly not for you translation is extremely poor and the one semi interesting part of the game overstays its welcome to the point of taking up over 2/3rds of your total playtime my advice is to not play this and instead take your time and do something more useful, like jerking off all day
Very surreal but with a comical twist. Enjoyed playing the early access part :)
"xd1" is a joke game, basically a garbage frontend "adventure" VN that lets you launch various super-crap Flash tier "barely a game" minigames made out of MS-paint assets and some random photos from the developers stuff. There's a completely (and I mean completely) incoherent story about something to do with the Dubai economy that seriously makes no sense at all. I firmly believe the developer was suffering a stroke through the entire game development process. The graphics here are particularly awful, MS-Paint tier garbage and some bad photos, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. The developer has their hand out for a $3 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money for soundtrack DLC (that's already in the game) from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 14 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? I can't recommend this. I didn't have to pay for this, but I still feel ripped off. Note: Joke reviews Because this is more of a "joke" game, intended to draw attention from controversy or in the hopes of going viral because it's "so bad it's good" (but it isn't good at all), there's nothing here to offer to serious gamers. As usual, with most awful/joke games, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, mocking the game for just how bad it is. The comedians give us the usual "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" story... sarcastic, but not useful if you want to know if the game is worth it. Because most of the reviews are as insincere as the game itself is, the positive review score for this game should not be considered an accurate representation of the quality of the game.
