UNLOCK POWER WITH VICTORY POINTS (VP): Free Players are no longer limited. Earn VP (for free) through high-value, supportive gameplay—like defending capture points, deploying mobile spawns, driving supply trucks and more.
ACCESS PREMIUM GEAR: Spend your earned VP to unlock and use subscription-locked, higher-tier equipment from all periods of the war. Play wisely and return it to base with your crew members alive and the vehicle in good health (no major vehicle damage, like tank tracks or wings broken) and your VP will be returned to your in-game digital wallet.
This is a serious simulation, not an arcade shooter. Experience SERIOUS HISTORICAL ACCURACY with highly detailed damage models. Every shot triggers multiple calculations for angle, speed, armor penetration, and internal component damage. Your knowledge, skill, and strategic placement are all that stand between you and a disabling hit.
Are you ready to join the war that has been raging for over two decades and know that your individual service will be a factor in the final outcome?
MASSIVE COMBINED ARMS: Seamlessly fight across land, sea, and air in a 300,000 sq. km perpetual war zone.
DYNAMIC CAMPAIGN TIERS: The war progresses chronologically (T0 to T3), with new, historically accurate equipment constantly being introduced.
WWII Online is won by flawless team execution. Your squad is a single, lethal unit, and Integrated Voice Comms (IVC) is its lifeblood. IVC provides the instant, dedicated radio channels required to coordinate complex maneuvers, allowing tank crews to call fire, pilots to warn of enemies, and leaders to order crucial flanks. This real-time coordination is the only way to successfully deploy critical assets like Mobile Spawn Points (MSPs) and deliver assets where the battle is hottest. Communication is your true weapon; cohesion is your only victory.
We are player-funded and dedicated to perpetual innovation. Launched in 2001, WWII Online is a living project that never stops growing. Every major feature, vehicle, and technical overhaul, including our pursuit of a next-gen engine, is delivered to all players absolutely free. We fight for the future of the game every day, ensuring your massive combined arms experience is constantly expanding and improving at no extra cost.

A surprisingly addictive title with enjoyable mechanics and a rewarding sense of progression.
waiting simulator, recommend!
WWII Online: Battleground Europe is a 2001 classic. The only of it's kind, that being an MMOFPS Set during (you guessed it) world war 2. You get a massive map with possibilities of engagements across a large majority of western Europe. There is a time progression system in the sense that your equipment, vehicles, weapons etc evolve over time. Where the Germans in the beginning of a campaign may be running Panzer III's, later in the campaign, you'll find Panthers and more mid to late war equipment. That includes use of the British, French and Americans for the Allied side. Possibilities are vast, you can fly multiple types of airframes, ranging from bombers, transports, ground attack craft, fighters, and some heavy fighters. There's also a naval aspect, but that is, in my opinion, one of the most limited roles in this game. Time to kill is short. Guns hurt, and explosions hurt more. Expect weapons to run heavier on the realistic side regarding bullet damage and ranges, rather than arcadey. Controls are dated, but serviceable. You can absolutely rebind your keys, and POTENTIALLY use a controller with vehicles (don't quote me on this, I don't use controllers, but there is a controller menu tab, probably for joysticks if I had to guess) With this in mind, it's still a 'fairly' modern control set for infantry combat. But vehicles will all but require you to do the training provided, and use the keymapper to figure out what does what exactly. The community is probably top 5 for the nicest and most helpful communities in this form of MMO. The subscription system has been completley reworked, thus making nearly EVERY UNIT AND VEHICLE FREE TO PLAY ACCESSIBLE via leveling up and earning "Victory Points" to use certain gear. The devs ARE porting this over to UE5, and it's going to take quite a long time, but for Free.99 it's really hard to beat. This game is for you if you want something similar to Foxhole, but first person, and much more realistic. 10/10 would defend Seclin from Allied invasion again.

Liebe Steam Nutzer!
