WWII Online is won by flawless team execution. Your squad is a single, lethal unit, and Integrated Voice Comms (IVC) is its lifeblood. IVC provides the instant, dedicated radio channels required to coordinate complex maneuvers, allowing tank crews to call fire, pilots to warn of enemies, and leaders to order crucial flanks. This real-time coordination is the only way to successfully deploy critical assets like Mobile Spawn Points (MSPs) and deliver assets where the battle is hottest. Communication is your true weapon; cohesion is your only victory.
We are player-funded and dedicated to perpetual innovation. Launched in 2001, WWII Online is a living project that never stops growing. Every major feature, vehicle, and technical overhaul, including our pursuit of a next-gen engine, is delivered to all players absolutely free. We fight for the future of the game every day, ensuring your massive combined arms experience is constantly expanding and improving at no extra cost.

AVOID THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS. Absolute trashiest of trash games. Heyday was back in the late 90's when it came out through maybe the mid 00's when it was still subscription based and cheaters were dealt with, but the games been dead since 2016. While graphics aren't be all and end all, they have barely advanced in almost 30 years. Currently the allied side, because they have ♥♥♥♥ all players that actually wanna play their useless side in the early stages of the game, are now resorting to bending the rules of the antiquated mechanics to flood the Axis side with spies to force over population, and then refusing to join any missions. Even with this cowardly take they STILL can't take any towns and push the Axis back. Pair this with cheaters that obviously pay for the priviledge to not be banned because the dev team are hard up for cash, its totally unplayable. The devs refuse to move into the 21st century and upgrade anything, they dont even play their own game enough to see what the problems are that need fixing. Instead they like to blow smoke up the players arse about "roadmaps" and trivial upgrades that do nothing to ensure longevity of the game. They dont even advertise it. The game is a rotting corpse thats been dead for a decade and needs to be buried.

devs are lazy bums that dont update the game engine cus its 'not important' and brings 'nostalgia' gameplay, you need to join a discord to understand whats going on n stuff and join a group or smth like that. also pulling some cash grab with dlcs just to use planes and tanks game is only still barely alive because of unfortunate players who have been sucked in by greedy devs talking bout some 'these reviews are to ruin our image, and we ask for fair reviews on our game to improve it'
garbage
realistic and has really nice comunity
WWII Online: Battleground Europe is a 2001 classic. The only of it's kind, that being an MMOFPS Set during (you guessed it) world war 2. You get a massive map with possibilities of engagements across a large majority of western Europe. There is a time progression system in the sense that your equipment, vehicles, weapons etc evolve over time. Where the Germans in the beginning of a campaign may be running Panzer III's, later in the campaign, you'll find Panthers and more mid to late war equipment. That includes use of the British, French and Americans for the Allied side. Possibilities are vast, you can fly multiple types of airframes, ranging from bombers, transports, ground attack craft, fighters, and some heavy fighters. There's also a naval aspect, but that is, in my opinion, one of the most limited roles in this game. Time to kill is short. Guns hurt, and explosions hurt more. Expect weapons to run heavier on the realistic side regarding bullet damage and ranges, rather than arcadey. Controls are dated, but serviceable. You can absolutely rebind your keys, and POTENTIALLY use a controller with vehicles (don't quote me on this, I don't use controllers, but there is a controller menu tab, probably for joysticks if I had to guess) With this in mind, it's still a 'fairly' modern control set for infantry combat. But vehicles will all but require you to do the training provided, and use the keymapper to figure out what does what exactly. The community is probably top 5 for the nicest and most helpful communities in this form of MMO. The subscription system has been completley reworked, thus making nearly EVERY UNIT AND VEHICLE FREE TO PLAY ACCESSIBLE via leveling up and earning "Victory Points" to use certain gear. The devs ARE porting this over to UE5, and it's going to take quite a long time, but for Free.99 it's really hard to beat. This game is for you if you want something similar to Foxhole, but first person, and much more realistic. 10/10 would defend Seclin from Allied invasion again.
Horribly glitchy horrid controls, players clip into walls. Movement is extremely limiting. Absurdly OP tanks and ships that blow you up. Extremely long time to grind all the way to having more weaponry. no good way to control vehicles.
first ever mmo? yeah cuz it's a bad concept, and maybe jhust maybe because no one wants to compeTee with with it, second maybe because ur the first who told world record when other concept is much better, community sucks and game never even evolved even after years, lame a$s gtougTfo
so much fun, hopefully it stays alive.
really great just needs more players
Pretty fun game, only issue is it is SUPER old meaning the controls are a bit ahrd to get used to and movement is very basic, but would still recomend due to the fun concept of a 24/7 war
