This game is a surprising wrestling treat for me. Graphics, for the time period that it was released in, is fantastic. Gameplay is very addictive. Chain wrestling is a fun way to start the matches. Reversal window is fairly long in most cases but the limited reversal slots bring a fantastic way to strategise during the match. Content wise, it’s also very rich. It has a wide variety of match types, which satisfies the wrestling fan in me. And then we have to talk about the game modes. It has specifically three game modes - SHOWCASE, Universe and Career. Let’s start with Career mode. Basically it’s very generic and ok at best. Universe mode is fairly ok and provides good enough content. However, the MVP of this game is the Showcase mode. It showcases the entire career of one of wrestling’s most influential figures, the Texas Rattlesnake himself, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The matches are well curated, cutscenes are created in engine and the gameplay is just pristine. It is arguably the best Showcase 2K has released till date. (If we ignore the 30 years of wrestlemania mode in WWE 2K14). Overall, this is a must have title for any simulation style wrestling video game fan.

Das Spiel ist stand 2025 sehr sehr schlecht gealtert. Damals im Jahre 2015/16 wird des Game im vergleich zu heute besser gewesen sein, aber selbst im Stand der Technik vor knapp 10 Jahren war dieses Game wie so der Überwiegende Großteil der WWE Spiele eher ausgeglichen bis meh gewesen sein. Ich mein für Exbiosions Matches um nur so halt Wrestling zu daddeln oder die Meine Karriere Modus durchzuspielen reicht es aber vielmehr auch nicht. Die Erstellung eines eigenen Wrestlers ist sehr schlecht umgesetzt und fühlt sich mehr an als hätte man versucht da eine großartige Neuerung zu bringen jedoch darin massiv (womöglich aus Zeitdruck) gescheitert ist, und die Programmierung von Mein Universum ist einfach grausig Rivalitäten werden einfach so Abgebrochen da das Match x nicht so verlaufen ist wie die KI es sich erdacht hat, man darf keine 2 Tag Team Rivailitäten Parralel in einer Show haben usw. die liste ist da sehr sehr lang.
