Worm In Village is a 3D platformer game. The game is third person adventure and walking simulation where worm mission is to find 8 stars to get steam achievements. Stars are hidden in different places in village and forest themed land. Avoid traps like spikes, moving spike traps, ball traps. The game has a checkpoint system. Played this on my Lenovo P15 with UHD 630 graphics and Quadro T1000 graphics. Game is very playable.
The most generic low effort shovelware - Had to edit graphics settings in the config to even play it since the game does not feature any way to lower graphics settings , I mean generic UI and awful stock assets with a random UE map thrown in it. Typical shovelware

Nice adventure with atmospheric music. Quite easy, but couple stars are a bit hard to see, took me nearly half of game time to find 1 and 5. Easy Achievements, 100% / ~20min.
INCREDIBLE! I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3 dudes to buy this game and every inch was worth it.

Worm In Village is a quirky third-person adventure that takes a deliberately simple idea and builds a compact exploration and platforming experience around it. Instead of controlling a traditional hero, the player takes charge of a worm capable of walking and jumping through a village and its surrounding forest. Developed by Valkeala Software and Kendall Studios and published by Valkeala Software, the game clearly favors novelty, casual exploration, and straightforward objectives rather than an elaborate storyline or complicated progression system. The main objective is to locate eight hidden stars scattered throughout the environment. This gives the adventure a light collectathon structure in which exploration is just as important as reaching particular destinations. With only eight major collectibles to find, the concept appears designed to remain manageable and accessible. Searching for every star also provides a natural reason to examine corners of the map instead of simply moving through the environment as quickly as possible. Steam achievements further reinforce the completionist side of the experience. Movement and environmental hazards provide most of the challenge. The worm can walk and jump, making the game function much like a conventional 3D platformer despite its unusual protagonist. The environment contains platforms and rotating objects that require positioning and timing, while spikes, moving spike traps, and ball-based hazards can kill the character. Water is dangerous as well, meaning that an unsuccessful jump can have immediate consequences. These obstacles introduce enough risk to prevent exploration from becoming an entirely passive walking experience. Checkpoints help balance those hazards by preventing individual mistakes from becoming excessively punishing. This is particularly important for a casual platformer where experimentation is part of learning how to navigate each obstacle. Players can attempt difficult jumps, determine the timing of moving hazards, and continue searching without necessarily losing large amounts of progress. The checkpoint system therefore fits the accessible character of the game and should make its potentially awkward platforming situations more forgiving. The village and forest setting gives the player room to wander while searching for stars. Rather than presenting a heavily scripted sequence of missions, the design emphasizes discovering routes through the environment and figuring out where collectibles might be concealed. The open layout, rotating objects, environmental dangers, and platforming sections combine to make navigation itself a central activity. It is a relatively uncomplicated formula, but that simplicity may suit players who want a short game that does not demand extensive tutorials, inventories, crafting systems, or character statistics. Its greatest source of personality is undoubtedly the playable worm. A walking and jumping worm navigating oversized obstacles is inherently strange, and that unusual premise helps distinguish the game from more conventional low-budget platformers. There is a playful quality to the concept that suggests the experience is meant to be approached casually. The appeal comes less from narrative depth and more from seeing how this odd protagonist interacts with an environment filled with traps and collectibles. Although the game incorporates elements associated with adventure, platforming, simulation, survival, hidden-object gameplay, and walking simulators, these labels should not create expectations of deep systems from every genre. The survival component primarily concerns avoiding lethal environmental hazards, while the simulation aspect is secondary to basic movement and exploration. At its core, this is best understood as an exploratory 3D collectathon with light platforming challenges. Achievement hunters may find additional motivation in locating all eight stars and completing the available objectives. The relatively focused structure could make full completion more approachable than in larger collectathons where hundreds of objects are scattered across enormous maps. At the same time, the small number of primary objectives suggests that players seeking a lengthy campaign, extensive replayability, complicated progression, or a substantial narrative should keep their expectations measured. The presentation is similarly modest in ambition. This is not a game attempting photorealistic environments or technically advanced visual effects. Its attraction instead rests on the eccentric concept, environmental layout, and satisfaction of finding collectibles. For this type of game, responsive controls and dependable collision detection are especially important. Platforming involving spikes, moving traps, rotating objects, and lethal water can quickly become frustrating if jumps feel unpredictable, so movement quality will play a major role in determining how enjoyable the complete experience is. Steam Deck compatibility is currently best regarded as unconfirmed rather than officially Verified or Playable. Players interested specifically in handheld use should therefore not assume full Steam Deck support. The Windows-focused requirements may still leave room for compatibility through Proton, but without an official compatibility designation, controller behavior, performance, text readability, and other Deck-specific aspects cannot be guaranteed. Another noteworthy production detail is the disclosed use of AI software tools for the game's logo and cover artwork. This does not define the gameplay itself, but it is relevant information for players who care about how commercial artwork is produced. Beyond that, the project presents itself as a relatively small independent game whose ambitions are centered more on an amusing premise and uncomplicated gameplay than elaborate production values. Overall, Worm In Village appears most suitable for players who appreciate strange indie concepts, compact collectathons, casual exploration, and uncomplicated 3D platforming. Searching for eight stars while dealing with spikes, water, moving hazards, rotating objects, and platforming challenges creates a clear and understandable gameplay loop. The checkpoint system should keep mistakes manageable, while the unusual protagonist gives the experience some character. Its modest scope means it is unlikely to satisfy anyone looking for a deep adventure or expansive open world, but as a quirky and focused exploration game, it has the potential to offer a pleasantly unconventional diversion.
