This game is Poggers, that's all I need to say.
This game is great! I think at first, the controls can be a real turn-off, but if you take the time to learn how they work and get acquainted with them you can pull off some really cool skips, tricks, and saves. I also really love the side mode obstacle course, it's a nice palate cleanser for when you make that big fall in the main game and have to crawl back up. Also love the inclusion of multiplayer. Very challenging, very rewarding, and very cheap especially if you get it on sale.
My favorite part was when the worms said "it's worming time" and wormed all over the screen.
I told myself i was gonna leave a review when i 100% the game but im doo doo dogwater. Games crazy good, the grapple is super smooth and feels really good to get good at. The arcade is really fun to 100% (although i did master pre buff so i cant comment too much on it). Egg can actually suck a fat one and fall on a rock. Definitely buy :)
This game is an interesting platformer with simple mechanics that offer a considerably high skill ceiling. The base game is quite enjoyable to play on your first playthrough especially if you are playing with friends. If you want more from the game after you complete it there are several arcade mode levels to play through which get inanely challenging as well as the true ending of the game achievement which is really its own experience with a fun reward at the end.
It's a fantastic platformer. The difficulty curve in the Arcade mode feels pretty decent, the first set is a pseudo-tutorial which is really nice that it shows you all the key mechanics in the level title i.e. 'wall-jump' 'strafe' which suggest what you should learn in them. Some times it hit's you in the face with 'Ice Wall' that tests if you know your game mechanics. The most frustrating thing to start with is the camera, the camera is easy to move yes but that makes it a little hard to predict how your worm will rotate as it always rotates from or away, and at a close to 90° its hard to tell. Most levels give you some leeway to solve in other ways, Ice Wall and it's crushing presence I found it to be the place in the game that I really started to love it, well I hated it until after the wall. Playing around in the Arcade levels is really fun, when you learn to climb vertical walls it really opens everything up, not much to find but quite a bit of fun. This game has so much useless tech that can be learned too that is just so much fun to mess with, you can wall ride and Kinikick and its never needed but boy its fun to mess around
lots of fun, i can't wait to play more
