WWII GI is the invasion of Normandy. The paranoia. The fear. the intensity that was D-Day. You will experience it first hand.

complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, its worser than redneck rampage and thats saying something
Let me make Clear that i normaly dont like writting negative reviews and i really wanted to like this game, but lets start from the beginning. Wolrd War II GI is a shooter that is brutaly unforgiving meaning you die really really quickly and that would be finde if it was going for realism ,be fair in that aspect and or also have easier difficulties but that isnt the case. already in the first level of the first chapter you notice that its RND (luck) if you can even get to that damn wall or above it , depending if the ai targets you, how many of them, and how accurate and much they shoot you, you can either make it unscratched or die in less than 1 second and dying in an instant is almost a theme in this game as a single soldier can obliterate you in that short of a time. you are always short on ammo too. why?; your default weapon is very innacurate, the damage it does varries ,the ennemies DROP AMMO for the MP40 but your charachter only picks up the enemy ammo not their weapon for some reason often leaving you out of ammo and defenseless , the platoon leader expension wants you to defend a base in one of its missions with only 90 rounds of m16 ammo,30 bullets of handgun ammo. 4 grenades that your guy throws less than 20 feet away, no ammo to pick up, (enemy ammo you cant use) ai team mates that dont really do much and also dont drop ammo when they die, no health pick ups,and enemies by the 100s you cannot see most of the time. this isnt fun and sounds bad and most levels feel like this and have that degree of fairness and again you cant make it easier for yourself, the difficulty settings basicaly change almost nothing
Not pogalicious
More difficult and polished than Nam/Napalm. For some reason it bugs out with wasd. If you shift your wasd over to esdf, use right click for either jump or crouch. There is a terrific game here you have to pry it out and once its going the old school cannot be matched.
gameplay similar to NAM but needs even more patience, also healing and thompson accuracy is pretty bleh
Não é igual o original
fps bellino per sue epoca lo consiglio per appassionati altri po meno
Even worse than NAM but for different reasons. The weapons are really inaccurate and the morale system makes them lose accuracy as you take hits. Dealing with the tanks can be tricky so make sure to save those explosives. The last maps are the worst as you need to snipe the enemies with your inaccurate weapons and the ammo is not plentiful either. About as fun as munching on a brick.
This game isnt really bad most of the time, its just really challenging. You can get killed by a single bullet fired from a bush miles away, by a random artillery shot or air raid that just happens to land on you, or by those damn mines scattered everywhere. But when you think about it, thats realistic. Thats what what war is like. You can be the best soldier out there, but a singe unlucky move and youre finished. If you need to heal yourself youll literally have to stop moving completely and use the medkit for 10 seconds. Its realistic, but boy can it get annoying. Prepare to save/load your game every other minute unless you got the reflexes of a fighter pilot. There are a few levels that are just bad and annoying. Youll be caught in crossfire by the op enemies and the tanks in this game are just the most irritating thing ever. But it isnt the couple of bad levels that make this game hard to enjoy, its the damn CONTROLS. Theyre just terrible. Thats right, the smart butts who brought this game to steam thought it was a wonderful idea to not improve the og controls at all so you cant move even nearly as easily as in games like Duke Nukem or Shadow Warrior. Its possible to make the control somehow bareable by using the Dosbox keymapper (use ctrl+f1 to open the mapper and see a online tutorial on how to use it) but they still degrade the experience alot. Someone also said that this game "runs like ahh" but personally i think it runs just fine. I still think this game is somehow a bit worse than "NAM" the Vietnam War game made by the same guys. I feel like this one has more bad levels and less pleasing aesthetics.
Another terrible game from the same developers of NAM. Player will run out of ammo very quickly. So I died a lot of times in the first mission. These trash games ruin the reputation of Build engine.
