Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's like translating a whole Choose Your Own Adventure box game to Junji Ito and then making it a computer game Pretty short runs, great game to casually pick up and play a round or two before bed Plenty of in-game achievements and unlockables and unique endings and interesting Older Gods to keep you coming back for another round after seeing so much Would love to see this translated into a physical box game you could play as DM with a friend

This is a great game if you love Japanese horror aesthetic and randomly-generated content. While I think it lacks the real satisfaction of a purposefully-crafted horror story , it was enjoyable to see what neat designs for spooky things popped up at every draw. Combat does get pretty samey, and certain mechanics hard to understand with little context, but there's tons of ending and achievement-hunting to be had for those who like that sort of thing.
Honestly would take this over living in the real world tbh.
junji ito energy filtered through an rpg that hates you politely
Addictive roguelike 2-bit single player action. I was a hot nurse and mutilated myself for the glory of ..... wait what, I wasn't possessed? I'm just naturally insane? Badass. The music is amazing, the art style is nostalgic, and the gameplay is cruel but not unfair. If you're a can of Call of Cthulhu and other "sanity" torture simulators, you'll probably like this game. You won't like this game if you like easy games though, it's definitely not easy.
As someone who loves the Junji Ito / Lovecraftian aesthetic and has a love of horror in general, I absolutely LOVE this game. Unfortunately, I can't say too much about the developer "abandoning" the game, leaving the game supposedly unfinished, etc. However, it doesn't feel like an unfinished game. The different mysteries, protagonists, mechanics, endings, etc make it feel like a different run each time. I can sweep one run and completely bomb the next and enjoy both of them. If you got only a few minutes to game, this is an easy one to pick up. Sometimes not completely knowing what's going on is part of the fun of the game, which it encourages. If you have the same love for the genre of horror as I do, I believe you'll like this game. I don't think it's meant to be a 100+ hour game, but I've seen reviews where people do have 100+ hours in it, which says something about it, especially compared to perhaps other indie horror games. Enjoy the lore that World of Horror has to offer!
Worth it on sale! I enjoyed my time with the game and in no way expect endless updates. However I can't deny the mysteries can start to feel repetitive after you've played about ~10 hours? (However modding support is present) Not entirely sure about the claims of content being unfinished but I can't refute them either, the sort of thing where stuff *feels* off but its hard to place and easy to ignore if you get it cheap and don't get extremely invested. I can however for certain say the game has a chronic issue of dev silence lol
