This game looks like a better version of snap, i hope they will keep their cosmetics as microtransactions only and not gate keep cards behind money
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile-tier game! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.

Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.

Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Microsoft Playfab" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.
"World of Grimm"looks exactly like one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. While I couldn't find this on the app stores, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app... it has all the same qualities, from the mobile app tier graphics to the shallow gameplay you expect from mobile app cash harvesters. The developers indicate this was intended for a mobile app store release, but it didn't make it. We can't say why this wasn't accepted on the mobile app stores, maybe it's because Google and Apple have QA departments, and Valve has "Steam Direct". This is a badly made abandoned Early Access ripoff of Hearthstone with poorly done artwork that nobody asked for, wanted, or played (see below for the player counts). It didn't make it to the mobile phones it was designed for. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the cheap, bright, colourful plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is basically a mobile app on the wrong platform. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. As with all mobile scams, you're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality mobile app, this is specifically designed to invalidate your consumer rights and destroy your right to privacy. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 6 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Despite not being able to finish the game, the developers apparently had all the time in the world to build that fully functional cash shop, and financial transaction back-end system into the game. That shows the developers primary goal was just to set out to gouge cash from Steam gamers just like mobile devs do with mobile peasants. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 12 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Not on a bet. This might be "free", but I still feel like I got ripped off.
I'm looking forward to where this game goes in terms of utilizing the mechanics already in place (health, the dawn/dusk cycle) and what it can bring about in the future. The art variations are cute too (ftp btw).
This game just blows me away; it's ridiculously fun. It's like diving into a turbo-charged storybook! Fast, furious, and filled with nostalgia. If you're a fan of high-speed action and a sprinkle of fairy tale magic, this game is your happily ever after.
so an early access copy of marvel snap same kind of game type with the 3 lanes 4 cards each lane at max have the highest score after 6 rounds easy to understand easy to play good tutorial or good enough if your a fan your a fan if your not you'll know pretty quickly game is too early to have any sorts of transactions i didn't see any card packs to buy for money or in game money so everyone is on the same level atm there are a few cards you unlock by playing matches which may give a couple of people a small advantage for only a very short while. early access so not griping however i will mention a couple of thins here mostly for the developer there are a few bugs and crashes. if a zone destroys a card on each zone by a total turn and your zone is empty the game will crash you have to conceed. if you play the huntsman and the cards on the other zone are certain cards it will crash the game (some snake summoning thing) theres probabaly a lot of other combos where if the game cannot finish the calculation if will freeze everything but obviously early acess get in early enjoy it if you like cards lol pleasing artwork and certainly not bad so i dunno why comments are disabled but i am going to add to this newest patch i play and try and again my game crashes cause of a card interaction. you got to do a major fix i know its early access and the game is good but i can't play when i keep having games freeze cause you have not worked out how to stop the cards crashing the game on interactions
The aesthetic of the game is terrible but the realms mechanic is quite fun. Interesting game.
World of Grimm is fun fanatsy lane based TCG! great concept and full of fun!
