Head-shotted a zombie with a goose and then ate pizza. I language like a pro. 10/10
More entertaining than I expected. A good way to improve typing skills and word association. Not great for young kids who can't yet type very fast.
i don't dislike this game, and it's certainly not bad, but when i look for a typing game, i want the focus to be on typing. a very large portion of the game focuses on coming up with words using certain letters and certain lengths rather than just typing. i can't recommend it as a typing game when that's not the primary focus
If you don't like laughing or typing don't play Word Warrior. SERIOUSLY DON'T IF YOU DON'T!
This game is hysterical! The game play is super fun, I love that it spawns models on the fly when you are typing out random words. It kind of reminds me of shooter games you would find in the arcade like time crisis but with a clever twist.
Unlike most typing games you actually have to think of what to write to get through the levels-a six letter word ending in "n" for example. The game creates projectiles based off what you type as well-which can be amusing. Try and think of words of actual physical objects if you can-if you type more abstract concepts you're less likely to get something that actually stops a zombie. The menus requiring you to type to do anything is an unusual choice that I wouldn't recommend for most games-it works for this one due to the theme.
DISCLAIMER: I'm a retired medical transcriptionist who types 90 WPM, so my impression of this game is likely quite different from gamers who are not professional typists. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Word Warrior: Zombie Typocalypse is certainly no typing tutorial, but its pleasantly wacky and plenty of fun! Its usefulness as typing practice is limited almost entirely to short words (a few longer words do appear at the end-of-level battles), but the sheer goofy thrill of whacking zombies with nouns I'd think of off-the-cuff won me over enough to complete the game on all three modes (Zombie, Infected, and Arcade). As a prior negative review stated, "it rewards your Scrabble skills." Quite correct, but I don't share the negativity. Quickly thinking of multiple nouns that end in this or that letter is a fun challenge, as is typing those words instantly after thinking of them. The overarching story, told through mailed postcards, is paper-thin, but I didn't mind at all, because the general humor of the game suffuses that plot. The funnest humor is, of course, using nouns as deadly projectiles that you'd never think of as such. Decking zombies by launching hot dogs or lingerie at them is worth a giggle. Decking zombies by launching Mario or an American flag or whatnot when I wasn't even thinking about that when I frantically typed whatever word I could think of? Grand gameplay hilarity! Cherry on top: BEST POST-GAME CREDITS SEQUENCE EVER!!!! CONCLUSION: Its only typing practice use is for short-word speed. But the sheer fun and mirth of the game carried me through to the end. If there's a sequel, I'll certainly be interested. Recommended!
Any game where I can throw Mickey Mouse at zombies is a good game
Such a fun game! I love the variety of 3d objects in the library typing which you can kill zombies. It can be tricky though to remember the right word during a time limit.
