Fun run and gun that won’t take a lot of your time. Despite the appearance of a metroidvania, this is an action game where you go through stages in a linear order. The game takes you through three different worlds, each with its own set of enemies. A world is made out of four stages and a boss fight. All can be finished in a couple of hours. You start with a basic weapon and gain two more as you kill bosses. Because ammo is infinite, you can keep hitting the fire button as much as you like. Rockets, on the other hand, are in short supply. Although a single rocket can take out an enemy easily, it's recommended to conserve them for walls that can't be destroyed with any other weapon and cracked walls that hide collectibles. Stages are not very long. They involve a combination of platforming, avoiding threats and killing enemies. The difficulty level is pretty easy, so you should have no trouble if you're familiar with the genre. Boss fights can be a bit tricky. The issue is that you are not offered a lot of freedom due to the extremely small areas that make it impossible to avoid enemy shots. Because your character is so large and cannot dodge, your only option is to jump over projectiles and take occasional hit. The game is short, so achievements motivate you to play it multiple times. Unfortunately, they’re not fun because around half of them are for not being hit, falling into acid, and even sparing one type of enemy throughout the entire game. One touch or accidental kill can ruin your entire game.
