About
You're going to try anyway.
Wizard's Path is a survivors-like action roguelite about fighting through growing swarms while building a mage spell by spell. Kill enemies, gain levels, and choose the spells that shape your run. Partway through, the magic types you've committed to determine what kind of mage you become.
Commit to a single magic type and you become a specialist, reaching spell levels a mixed build never can. Mix two or three instead and you trade raw specialization for more tools, stranger interactions, and combinations that probably shouldn't exist.
You don't build toward a class. You find out which one you earned.
Fire. Frost. Storm. Arcane. Blood. Shadow. Holy. Nature. Death. Summoner. Growth. Chaos. Greed. Challenger.
Commit to one.
Combine two.
Or spread your build across three.
Your choices can transform you into one of 470+ different mages, each with its own name, passives, progression, and records to chase.
Some combinations happen naturally. Others require the kind of build decisions you probably shouldn't be making.
Those tend to be the interesting ones.
Other players' graves can appear in your run. Break one open and the fallen mage inside gets back up and fights for you, with strength based on the magic power that player reached before they died.
Someone else's best run, on loan. They won't stay forever, so don't waste them on trash.

There are more than 30 runes to unlock, and you choose 3 before each run.
They aren't simple stat boosts. Each one changes a rule, usually with a price attached.
Rune of the Martyr starts you with five times your maximum health. Then it disables healing for the entire run.
No potions.
No lifesteal.
No regeneration.
That health is all you're getting.
Pandemonium rolls all damage you deal between 1% and 500%, and all damage you take between 1% and 250%. Automatic aiming and homing are disabled entirely.
Every hit is a gamble. So is getting hit.
Rune of Malice gives you no damage, no defense, and nothing positive at all. It simply increases enemy spawn rate and the enemy cap by 150%.
More enemies means more XP.
More gold.
More things trying to kill you.
Most runes are unlocked by mastering their associated magic types. The rest come from challenges and achievements.
Something interrupts.
Often.
Maybe every enemy you kill suddenly starts exploding. Maybe a Blood Stone surfaces in the middle of the battlefield. Maybe a slime army invades. Maybe a Chronomancer freezes time and decides to fight you personally.
And sometimes, a champion from one of your own previous runs comes back as the enemy, with extra health based on how many enemies you killed in that run.
That one is on you.
Eventually, your build stops looking reasonable.
Good.
Take it into Endless Mode and find out where it finally breaks. Enemies keep scaling, you keep killing, and your kill count goes onto the global leaderboard as well as the record for the exact mage you played.
All 470+ mages have records of their own.
Somewhere, someone has already set the number. Go take it from them.
A separate mode.
Waves.
No boss.
No exit.
It ends when you die.
Starting from wave 14, every third wave gives you three handicaps. You have to choose one, and whatever you take stays with you.
There are 18 different handicaps, each stacking up to three levels.
So wave 40 isn't just wave 1 with bigger numbers.
It's wave 1 plus every handicap you chose because the other two looked worse.
Your highest wave goes onto its own global leaderboard.
Transform into a mage during a run and defeat the boss as that mage to unlock it permanently.
From then on, you can start future runs as that mage from level 1 instead of waiting to discover it again. Every mage has its own progression and passives, growing stronger the further you take it.
The first time, it's a verdict.
After that, it's a choice.
Gold earned between runs for permanent unlocks and upgrades
