To make a strange comparison, this is the Oddworld Abe's Oddysey of VR games. You are small, defenseless robot thing (?) trying to escape a cold, emotionless, mechanical beast of a world that wants to see you dead at every corner. Not for those afraid of heights, this will test your VR legs. It's atmosphere is so rad. If you like dystopian science fiction, or just strange intriguing art styles this game will pull you in like nothing else. It's VERY minimalistic but it uses it heavily to it's advantage. Think Superhot, except take it soooo much further beyond white rooms. I want to know more about this world but that would ruin what makes it great. EVERY new section the game is throwing something entirely new at you and it never stops. It's suprisingly lengthy for such a cheap VR game too. Also like Abe's Oddysey, I absolutely loved the experiance but I could never beat it again because ♥♥♥♥ is it hard. It is physically taxing, you will sweat, you will use every ounce of your energy attempting to clear a section, and you will die and fail anyway and have to try again. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is nice when you succeed. I remember clearing a certain mid game section (the main reason I will never play this again) and grasping onto the balloon carrying on me for dear ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life, terrified of having to do it again. Sometimes the challenge is just straight up endurance. The controls are simple, and admittedly not as polished as some other VR climbing games but they get the job done. I did run into an animation glitch with Oculus touch controllers were the hands are always orientated wrong (apparently due to how the Vive controllers naturally rest verses the touch controllers) but as far as I could tell this was only cosmetic. With Loneliness is a unique experiance I will never forget and something that could only be done in VR. Even though I can't go back to it, at least not for a good while, it's become one of my favorite VR games, hell, just video game I've ever played. At 7 bucks you really can't go wrong.

This game is brutally hard, but I like it. You'll die a lot. Just keep climbing.
Fair warning: I haven't played any other VR climbing games. I think I've spent about 30 minutes in this game. That appears to be enough to review this game, and I have to hand it to the developers. This is a really good VR experience. It's not amazingly polished, but it is very effective and fun. It's definitely immersive enough to entice a player to keep trying to progress. For the asking price, it would appear to be worth the money. Maybe I reach the end of the game in another 30 minutes of pure progress, and that would be a shame. I would update this review with a slightly more critical vibe. Given my limited time spent, I think this is one of the more fun and chill budget titles that I've played in VR. It's a bit like Getting Over It, but not nearly as punishing.
Challenging. Addictive. Sore arms & sweaty palms.
This game is one of the most fun and challenging vr games I've seen since superhot. With Loneliness has the most enjoyable gameplay mechanics, and is 100% worth its price, why isn't this game already flooding the vr scenes? 10000/10 PS: Watch your roof, mine was punched a couple times ;~;
