It feels like someone asking you to pay them, to work..? The game is a GRIND, the tour games literally couldn't be any more dreadful. This is compounded by the fact that the game play leaves a lot to be desired. Despite having potential there are some glaring flaws. Most notably passing, it's a clown show. Receivers can be open and somehow defenders manage to float in the air about 10 ft for these infuriating phantom interceptions. There's just nothing consistent about passing in this game. The ball speed is way too slow allowing defenders to get back into the play. The customization is exceptional. The graphics are awesome. However, sitting through hours of these boring tour games sounds painful enough without taking into consideration the issues the game has game play wise. If this game was $20 dollars, I could at least consider recommending it. But I think the majority of people will be disappointed paying $40 dollars for this. This game could have a non existent player base in less than a year, you need a lot of time playing to build a team that can compete online.
Played on Steam Deck and refunded due to performance issues. Specifically the graphics aren't as sharp as they are meant to be, even looking a bit blurry. It was disappointing considering the game I picked up before this was Super Mega Baseball 4 and it runs perfectly. As for the game itself, the wild card concept sounded interesting on paper but ended up being the game's biggest flaw. The player has to go through 3 screens/menus before each play just to get to the line of scrimmage. It takes too much time and prevents the game from having any kind of flow. The play clock also has one of the more annoying countdown sound effects I've heard in a game. There's no way to disable it without disabling all sound effects. There is an option to turn the wild cards off, but the gameplay was designed around the wild cards and is too shallow without them. Movement and animation also just feels kind of rigid, almost like robots playing football.

EDIT: Developers listened to my complaint and you can now skip cut scene celebrations! A solid arcade type football game for people who lean more towards NFL Blitz than Madden (1995-Present) I mainly play couch co-op, and for that it is a solid experience. I have tried a couple games in the various league/single player options, but it is indeed a grind compared to other sports games in this genre. For instance, you have to complete games and be awarded virtual currency to purchase packs to increase the quality of football players on your fantasy team. It takes several full games played to even get to the point of purchasing a pack, and you will be rewarded possible football players that are only marginally better than what you start with. i.e. your team is an average of 48/100, after around 10 games played, you may now be a 49/100. I didn't put enough time in to test the exact math, but it has to be close to that example. Aside from this, the game play itself is fun and feels moderately challenging. Some of the wildcards are better than others, some make no sense at all. The one main request I would make to devs is to give the option to turn off cut scenes after plays. If you play one full game of football, you will see one of your players drop to the ground and make snow angels in the grass no less than 10-15 times, and it is unskippable.
cash grab
It's on the path to being the Super Mega Baseball of Football but needs to fix a few things: 1. There is currently no defensive play call for special teams, so you just line up in run block (or prevent for a punt) and hope for the best 2. There is no way to audible out of plays 3. On some occasions the input doesn't seem to register right away, but this might be netcode Despite all that I'm enjoying it for $40. All the cards and progressions are unlocked in-game so no microtransations. Customizing your team is fun. Playing the game itself is very fun AND you can turn off the card mechanic if you want something slightly more realistic. I desperately want Super Mega Football to play with friends and right now this is the closest thing.
I honestly am really enjoying the game! It's a fun spin on football, that honestly I didn't expect to like.. at ALL.. It is quite arcade-y, more so than most, but it's really enjoyable and the animations are excellent! Not sure why some of the reviews seem to dis this game for micro-transactions, because it's completely playable without. I could see how leveling up players could be "grindy" but it's part of the game. I see no issue with the grind, and have thoroughly appreciated this game thus far! MILES BETTER THAN MADDEN
Broken game. Cash grab game. Game is not good dont get it
Arcade style sports game, similar to NFL Blitz. Small file about 5GB
Not worth the price.
Fun football game that's not pay to win.
