Wickless: the void

This game is extremely interesting, I advise you to go through it, especially if you like a dark and mysterious atmosphere. Despite the fact that the game is made in 2D, it conveys the atmosphere of old horror quite well. I have not seen similar games before, so I can say that the game is quite unique (if it is not, sorry). I don’t want to talk about everything interesting, because I don’t want to spoil the plot. :D I would like to see more projects from this developer and wish him good luck in the future. Do not regret $3 for such a game, quite atypical for the gaming industry.

!!!В обзоре есть спойлеры. Прочитать после прохождения!!! Принимал небольшое участие в разработке и тесте игры, любителем 8-битных хорроров зайдет. Игра напомнила серию игр "Deep Sleep" от Scriptwelder, которая была еще когда-то на флеше, и, отчасти Silent Hill. Из плюсов игры можно выделить: -отсутствие скримеров, могут быть лишь громкие моменты. -своеобразные механики(зажигание свечи от подсвечников) -довольно красивую для "минималистичной" графики рисовку Из минусов: -Очень неявный сюжет(если он там есть). -Головоломка с рычагами - как обычно бывает в хоррор-играх, для головоломок делают подсказки, в игре же их нет и ты просто подбираешь варианты.

I feel like there's not much story here though and it's not really a game play game either it's like a hidden object game where everything wants to kill you for no rhyme or reason. I was going to try and 100% it but the game started lagging incredibly bad halfway through so hopefully the devs can fix that this isn't a game that should lag.

Игра просто супер, обстановка, игровые сцены и главный персонаж на 5 б из 5. Видно что разработчики много времени и усилий потратили на создание этого шедевра. Я благодарен подборке стима, что он натолкнул меня на эту игру. Проходится быстро, сюжет не прям ахти, но есть куда развиваться. Хочется видеть длс. Пожелаю разработчикам всего ХОРОШЕГО, буду обязательно следить за развитием игровых проектов.

Игра стоит своих 40 с лишним рублей (я хотя её купил со скидкой за смешные 20 рублей). Это совсем небольшой хоррор со своей жуткой атмосферой. Автор молодец, надеюсь, что продолжит делать игры подобного рода, но при этом хотелось бы иметь хотя бы небольшой сюжет. И да, хочу попросить автора не унывать из-за того, что в эту игру, к сожалению, сыграло ничтожное кол-во игроков))

Quite a difficult game to be honest. It's a nice concept though therefore it is worth a try.

Developer has recently resorted to upping the price of the game to make its discount appear bigger than it actually is.

Pretty nice and atmospheric pixel horror. It has its own interesting mechanics, as well as a rather interesting save mechanic, for this price it's a pretty good game

Surprised this is practically unknown on steam as it's pretty solid. It's get the main aspects of being a horror game that a lot of steam horror games fall short of. It's oppressive, dingy, and really nails the oppressive atmosphere. And the great sound design really adds to it. It does seem to lose it's way right at the end, noodling away through a few pointless scenes and then bam, [spoiler] you die because why not [/spoiler]. It will take a good 1.5 hours or so to play through it blind, and I enjoyed it all the way until just before the end.
