Wheel World

Wheel World is essentially an open world racing game for cycling. It takes place in a fantasy world where you ride around, collect parts for your bike, and race other riders. In terms of gameplay, the riding physics are solid, as are most of the gameplay features, but none of them are particularly outstanding. They do not get in the way, but they do not stand out either. Where this game really shines is the amount of effort that went into it, especially the little details and inside jokes about cycling culture. The people you race tend to be cyclist stereotypes that most cyclists will recognize, and the conversations you have with them are filled with nods to the culture. It is very obvious that some passionate and dedicated people put a lot of love into this game, and it really pays off. If you enjoy cycling and bikes, and are up for a fairly casual racing game, absolutely give this a shot. I had a blast with it.

[h1] THIS GAME IS AWESOME [/h1] [b] I love riding my bike IRL [/b] It fills me with joy and there's nothing better than getting to see cool stuff as you explore. This game felt EXACTLY like that. There's enough of a story drive to get you going and exploring/racing but nothing is stopping you from just riding around and enjoying the sights and sounds of the countryside around you. The parts swapping is fun to figure out what you need for each race and also trying out different combos. The racing was decent, mostly its about figuring out exactly what that course needs and very occasionally cheesing it as hard as you can. Riding the bike itself felt so good. The part swapping menu/organization is a little annoying having to scroll throw all the different parts when you get near the end and have a ton of stuff. The race gangs and npc characters are weird and fun especially with the different teasing of cycling culture. I'm not a 100% type person so I don't know if I'll go and finish all that, I could def see where having some more indicators would help with that. I could hope for a remake or a sequel where everything is a little bigger and fuller BUT this was such a great breezy experience it almost doesn't make sense. [h3] TLDR [/h3] Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys world exploration, light racing, silly characters and the feeling of freedom while riding your bike. [b] Especially if you can't ride for some reason like you're injured or it's the offseason [/b]

Wow this game has been out for nearly a year and I am just now getting to it?? This is one of my favorites at the moment. I love the scope of this game, and how clear the goals are to the player. It's got just the right amount of points of interest to feel good for short and long play sessions. I can see the Zelta BOTW inspiration and they took all the right parts of that to apply to a game about biking. Nice work!

Fantastic Game. A wonderful balance of vibes, challenge and fun. Beautiful design, super cool music. Breeze through and explore, or (enjoyably) bring for the achiwvements. So cool that the developer can make something as unique as Nidhogg and can make something so fun in a completely different genre too. Reminds me of the PS1 days. Big up to the developers. Great job. Such a good relaxing game.....bicycling accros the world , Racing and findings parts and coupons....i love the mechanics from Old NSF ( near miss ,air time gives u turbo etc) really worth its money

作为一个骑行低手，在这个游戏中感受到了非常真实的幸福。 在synthwave和dreampop风格的背景音乐中，骑着自行车穿过山间、树林和沿海公路。 在末日世界练习躲避的艺术。 在白雪皑皑的山脊一路俯冲，我们飞了起来。

엔딩 본 후 플레이타임을 보니 5시간30분정도 나오네요. 오픈월드 레이싱 이란걸 생각하면 상당히 짧은편입니다. 이 게임은 레이싱 이라기보다는 힐링게임에 가까운 느낌입니다. 레이싱 자체가 어려운게 없습니다. 또 그렇게 레이싱에서 이겨서 받은 파츠나, 돌아다니다 발견한 박스에서 모은 파츠만으로도 레이싱 진행하는데 막힘이 없어요. 조작감도 정말 레이싱이라고 부를정도로 어려운 부분은 없습니다. 파츠중에 다단기어 파츠를 쓰면 기어변속을 해야할테니 조작난이도가 약간 올라가겠지만, 싱글기어파츠만으로도 플레이에 아무 지장이 없습니다. 자전거를 좋아하는사람이 만든건지 그 자전거의 시원한 주행감이나, 노면을 밟을때 타는 타이어 마찰음 같은게 상당히 기분이 좋습니다. 사운드도 힐링게임처럼 잔잔하면서 몽환적인 느낌도 주구요. 게임은 그렇게 파볼만한 요소들는 많지는 않은것 같구요. 가장 아쉬운건 한글번역이 번역기 스러워서 대화를 나누는 케릭터들의 개성을 느끼기가 어렵네요. 이런게 재미요소일텐데 그 중요한 요소 한가지를 살리지못한 번역이 아쉽구요. 초반 산골같은 맵 클리어후에, 도시맵 같은곳으로 가는데 이곳은 좀 더 즐길거리를 만들어서 플레이타임을 늘려도 됐을텐데, 만들어 둔거에 비해서 그리 오래 플레이할 요소가 없습니다. 후속편이 나온다면 서브미션을 좀 많이 넣어주면 좋을것 같습니다. 크레이지택시같은 배달 미션같은거나 심부름 미션같은것들...

its fun, just like riding a bike you never forget the joy, the gameplay could be a bit repetitive, for people not in the know, but choked full of inside jokes and bike humor. I loved playing it when the snow was falling feeling nostalgic for my summer rides.

Wonderful game! A super chill open-world biking experience with gorgeous visuals and absolute chef’s kiss music. Great game to turn of your brain. Runs amazing on the Steam Deck.
