No dislikes but I keep going back to replay/reread to see what I can figure out.
Before I played Welcome To Chichester OVN 3 : The Mysterious Affair At The Violet Hotel, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Plot enhances the character development between MC and Grendel Jinx 2. In one segment, it features a "point n' click" type where the characters search parts of rooms to solve a mystery 3. Multiple choices that lead to multiple endings with their own specific epilogues 4. The crude humor makes a return as it's the staple of the WTC series Neutral: 1. It is heavily recommended to play previous parts in order to know the story and the characters' backgrounds Cons: 1. The story felt mediocre, nothing really outstanding (OVN: The Beach had a more dynamic story) 2. The Explanation Epilogue should have been used as part of the Reviewing the Evidence segment rather an epilogue, where as the finishing microwave part would have fitted more as a good closing epilogue for the True Ending 3. The lack of CGs can make the game feel a little bland. The addition of CG art would help enhance the story and experience. 4. The lack of a custom GUI can make the game feel a little bland as it's the default Ren'py look. 5. The skip function does not work even if set on "Unseen Text", even on parts where I saved but have read already. 6. The buttons on the main menu feel out of place, looking a bit like something from a 2009 flash game. 7. The Main Menu music doesn't feel like it fits with the overall theme of the VN of being a sort of suspenseful mystery 8. The Scenes Gallery could use a notification on which scene is what rather than having to click each one and figuring it out. Conclusion: Welcome to Chichester OVN 3 makes a return with it's crude humor with returning characters such as Grendel and the hotel staff, but the story presents itself as a mediocre series of events, even with multiple epilogues. Along that is a lack of visuals that can make the story and experience feel bland. Score: 4/10 NOT RECOMMENDED
Yet another amazing release in the Welcome To... Chichester series. This amazing Visual Novel just keeps getting better with each and every release. I am totally a Jinx fan. Keep up the great work dev <3
