so played this for a few hours, tried several of the other wayfinders and overall the gameplay is fine, but you can tell that the game was heavily based on originally being an mmo first rather than being an ARPG. a lot of the rewards you get from quests are cosmetics, emotes, crafting and upgrading materials. it plays fine for the most part but if you were lookin for a dungeon explorer, horde fighter, tower defense type game, this isnt it
stutter simulator
I like finding ways
Wayfinder is a banger. The TLDR is that it was developed as a live service MMO, but the publisher bailed, so the team packaged it up and shipped it as a standalone game. It's expansive and engaging, but it's also easy to put down and pick back up whenever. You're not missing out or falling behind like you would be in an ongoing MMO. The range of characters is rad and the fact that you can switch characters on the fly is a huge plus. The itemization and specialization and customization are all there. Rather than ramble on I'll just say that the gameplay is excellent and I highly recommend this game.
que rico un juego que te venden completo y no me cobran cada 5 minutos una skin de homero sinson, skibidi toile ni tuntuntun sajur, la jugabilidad esta muy riquisima, no sobre sale en nada pero ta chistoso pa desestresarme
Never seen the word "Gloom" used THAT much, lol Japanese voices are "fine" for the most part, there's 1 dialogue by the "Arsenal" lady who is said in english. Some dialogues aren't voiced either. (2-5 things are voiced then 1-3 aren't in the same conversations) I wish the "Black mage" was a bit more ranged. I prefer hybrid and full casters over melee casters but they're easier to balance with other classes so it's "fine". So far it looks like how MMORPG's should be made, npc's aren't brain dead like The elder scrolls online/Black Desert online to name some. You can really focus in certain stats, which is fun, it allows for more build ideas despite the very limited "skillsets" The fact the devs decided to listen to their playerbase is phenomenal, real big D move *tries to salute but looks like a dab* Edit: Forgot to mention performance with my specs. I had to reduce all settings from ultra to high since I had 20-90fps (45-70avg) with DLSS on balanced in 1440p, I now hover around 50-90fps on avg, ultra is unoptimized and probably has a ram/vram leak as when I had 20fps both my ram and vram were full for some reason.
i love this game its got this addicting charm ,i paid the big bucks $70 im just afraid the servers will shut down its on sale give it a shot ps venomess is awesome
Game is way too buggy for 2 year game with no consistent support/updates. Don't waste your money on this unless it's 90% off. Gameplay tends to be relaxing/chill, in that while the game functions similar to an MMORPG like WoW with its random loot drops/etc, but the game allows you to advance at your own pace, without the pressure of a leaderboard demanding your dedication and time to the MMO. And from personal experience, the loot drop seems pretty limited, compared to a traditional MMORPG. Combat is pretty easy to get used to with dodging and parrying mechanics that allow higher skill expression but imo is unnecessary to the completion of the game on any non-nightmare mode. However, the game just has the most infuriating "features". Features: - SHADOW + FLORA imbuement: (if you want a challenge, here you go) how about every single death spawns a homing projectile that will trail you infinitely unless it collides with another texture like a wall/floor/objects WHICH then spawns a poisonous mushroom that will continuously deal dmg until you destroy it, so if you're trapped in a mid-dungeon progression fight or the final boss fight where space is already limited, you're ♥♥♥♥ out of luck without a character with natural healing. - LOTS OF QUESTS to waste your time like "move to point A, talk to person 1; move to point B, talk to person 2; THEN move to point A and repeat the loop a few times" OR "move to point X, talk to person 3; then move to point Y and try to find and talk to person 4; THEN move to point X and repeat." - Enemies getting stuck in walls and ♥♥♥♥. WAY TOO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ COMMON FOR A 2 YEAR GAME - Enemies not spawning, locking your progression, forcing you to restart the entire fight, or sometimes the entire map/dungeon. - Enemies spawning in hittable but unreachable places so even if they drop rare loot, you're ♥♥♥♥ out of luck on obtaining said loot. - EVERY BOSS HAS INVULNERABILITY PHASES!!! YES! PHASES, MULTIPLE! EACH BOSS WILL ALWAYS HAVE MORE THAN 1 INVULNERABILITY PHASE WHERE YOU HAVE TO PLAY WITH SOME DEMENTED AND COMPELTELY UNREWARDING MINIGAME THE DEVS CAME UP WITH! - WITH THIS MANY GLORIOUS FEATURES AFTER 2 YEARS IN THE VERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CORE MECHANIC OF THE GAME (SPAWNING ENEMIES FOR YOU TO BEAT), WHY WOULDN'T YOU WANT TO BUY THIS GAME AT FULL PRICE??? And then we move to the bugs (and what prompted this review specifically) which is a mainline quest that remains bugged 2 years after release, despite community attention around it, with no fix other than "restart said quest from the beginning". On this specific quest, the player is tasked with hunting Maras, the Grand Deceiver, which is actually just a giant treasure minic. During the fight, the boss will trigger a mini-game to start at certain HP thresholds, preventing any further damage until the minigame is cleared. Said mini-game involves the boss turning into a mimic of a treasure chest while spawning several other fake chests, and the player must pick Maras or suffer a mimic minion to spawn. This ♥♥♥♥ happens 3 times, believe it or not. AND during the 3rd and final mini-game, Maras is KNOWN TO BUG THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT AND NOT SPAWN in the MIMIC TREASURE CHEST FORM, LOCKING THE PLAYER OUT OF FURTHER PROGRESSION IN THE FIGHT.
This game went from being decent fun to completely frustrating over my last few hours with it. In later stages I suddenly started to take so much damage from ranged enemies, the fights became very tedious. Because of a few reasons: 1. Most enemy projectiles track you. So you can't really move away. Unless you dodge away, you will get hit and even dodge doesn't work all the time. 2. A LOT of the events are based on spawning groups of enemies around you. You have no option to plan your approach, pick off some enemies first, or pull only a part of the pack. 3. Almost all of the special modifiers add areas on the ground that damage you. Good luck trying to kill an enemy hiding behind three layers of poison. 4. You don't have any healing (on my character, Niss) except 6 flasks - which don't regenerate unless you die. So basically it is a constant dillema if I want to use them and die later, or not use them and die now. Very disruptive All of this while I was supposedly above the recommended power level for the area. It said the max power level of it was 1800, I had 2300 power. So this number was meaningless. Then one of the bosses turned out to be just stacked with projectiles, invulnerability phases etc. The game suddenly decided to be a dodge fest for no reason and I just gave up. It was getting so boring, constantly have to dodge and wait for the 5 seconds when I was allowed to maybe attack. To top it off, only at this point, after so much playtime I found out, I couldn't upgrade my character and weapon BECAUSE IT WAS TIED TO A RANDOM EVENT! For both upgrades I needed phoenix feathers. I spent the entire game with underpowered character and weapon simply because I found like only one of these events and it was at the start of the game and I think I failed it back then. I was sure I will get this item from a boss later on or something. But no, all this time it was a random event that just didn't show up for me. Who ties a critical upgrade material FOR BOTH CHARACTER AND WEAPON to a rare random event you can just not find for 15 hours? Wtf man. Even now that I know about it, what am I going to do? Run around for additional 15 hours hoping the event spawns and gives me enough resources for one upgrade?
