A short and good Mystery Dungeon, Wave Dungeon brings some changes to the formula: * The dungeon is a small, ever changing room that modifies itself in a total of 20 timed waves - so instead of climbing or delving in your own pace, you have to be aware (the game shows you that, to some extent) of how the next floor will be, and position yourself accordingly to avoid a bad start in a monster-house-like scenario. Depending of the difficulty, this also lead to movement management, as a desireable item can be too far aware in terms of steps before the next wave takes it away from you. * Your inventory is way shorten than the usual (5 to 8 spaces at start), and skills can also be found and stored on it - that leads to a lot more of inventory management, compared to Shiren The Wanderer: each space matters a lot more... *...as skills also come in rarity tiers, that bring extra buffs to your character. So there are moments where a worse skill can be better to take with you, as it's buff can be essential to survive the next floors. * Your character also has access to a gacha-like upgrade system - each extra level gives 3 points to spend on 1 of 4 upgrades (better ATK, more HP, buffs, etc), or to reroll the upgrade list available, with a bigger chance of getting bigger rarities. This can be exploited, just pray that your luck will smile for you :D * Five classes - each one has different starting stats, skills and upgrades. Fans of Torneko, rejoice, a merchant class is here too :D * Custom difficulty modes - do you want the bosses to be absolutely terrifying in terms of stats? You can do that. More points to spend on your character stats at start? Sure! Less turns until the next wave comes? Of course! Base chance of missing any attacks? That too! In essence, I have to be clear - compared with other Mystery Dungeons as Shiren, Torneko and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, this is a short one - one ever changing 20-floors dungeon (infinity mode is unlockable), five classes, a few unlocks through in-game Achievements and a good amount of customization. -------------------- So, overall I mentioned how the game is different, but... is this game good? HELL YES, AND I hope OyFyBy makes a sequel in the future :)
